I also have a 26-1. I was going to see if he wanted to buy it for what yours sold for. It can stay in the safe for now.

Blocking for asking questions is stupid. Maybe a wife is trying to get a present for a husband and wants to ask many, what we would call "stupid questions" just because she does not know. Maybe somebody is new to the gun culture? God knows there have been many more first time owners since we turned socialist in 09. But move on. Dude just lost a sale maybe, because he is lazy.
I was just blocked from selling on ebay, because I listed a badge from 1965 Ft. Wayne IN that has not been used since then. They went from a 7 pt star to a 6 pt, for the police dept. So its 50 yrs old and no longer used, but ebay says it must be 75 yrs old to be listed. Screw the interweb. its all just games for the most part played by web hosters in commie states like CA, or 30 year old dudes who still live at home.
I miss the days of just putting ads in your local weekly shopper.
Still find some good deals on armslist and I don't think they are all into blocking or removing ads that much. just my 3 cents

Gunbroker is like shopping at the mall, they have what you want just not at the prices you want in a nice sterile environment. Buying on armslist is like buying in the back alley of a pawn shop, you never know what you are going to get and whether what is described is real or not. Sometimes it is interesting trying to scam the scammers on Armslist.

I actually like Armslist very much and I`ve gotten some great deals there.
BUT since that episode with the couple who were killed trying to buy the Ford Mustang,on Craigs list, I would be a lot more careful who and where and when I met someone now.

I've pursued 4-5 guns on Armslist and they were all scams wanting money sent even though they were in my hometown [emoji1].The guy selling bags of 12 g hulls was legit.

I probably have the full sheet music to it stuffed in a forgotten box of stuff I left in that box for a reason.
I could go look for it .... even record it for a sing along .... but nope ... not going to happen.

cylinder and / or barrel syndrome.
It often does not show unless in direct natural light.
Blued Smiths of the late 80s era such as 25-9s and 29-3s will
also show plum.
Just a circumstance of the newer processes in this era.
My 26-1 overrun gun taken outdoors looks hideous in certain light.
Fortunately the stainless guns of this era do not demonstrate this
characteristic.
The question about sideplate screws on this gun seemed to be a bit out
of left field, but valid nonetheless.

I did sell my other 26-1 to Jack and his wife got it for an anniversary present for him (most of our wives, try to sell or get us to sell our guns- what a catch Jack has there!!!)
this is from an e mail from Jack verbatim:

The Smith arrived today and I am back home with it now, and I wanted to thank you for the speedy delivery of this fine revolver. I have looked it over and I agree with you it appears un-fired. Now I have the dilemma to shoot it or preserve its virgin status? I wonder how much it would depriciate by being fired, Do you have any idea?
I am very happy with this revolver and I would like to tell the S&W forum members about this gun,
Happy ending for Jack.
Maybe some of you guys can advise him whether he should shoot an otherwise unfired revolver.

Haris came thru as promised here is the 26-1 in all of its un-fired glory.

First of all this is a great example of what makes this Forum such a great place to be a member of.
Second I would not shoot it.
Nice gun and good resolution.
Based on the picture in post # 76 I would have asked a question or two about that LeMat shotgun barrel...never saw that on a M26 before.
