OK...........so it isn't a mystery...............but still new to me
Sionics...........Vietnam era............I wonder how tight the cylinder was to the barrel.......may be unrifled..........

I was just guessing from the pic,,I've never seen one either. Neat item!
I'd think w/a close enough cyl gap you could tone one down quite a bit.
That re-mfg'rd M29 used in Vietnam (Special Purpose revolver?) used suppressed ammunition w/a short smooth bore bbl. A different way of coming at it looking for the same results.
