New M&Ps get three free magazines

They have some slight marks (scatches/dings) in their base plates. The Base plates appear to be a little dirty (tan or brown dirt debris) the sides have very slight vertical lines/scratches. Nothing just horrendous, but enough that it makes me believe they aren't new but are used instead. I would call them good condition used magazines. I have bought a few new in the packaging mags for my M&Ps and none of them look like these. They all came out of the package in new/perfect condition so there is a difference.

Nothing wrong with used magazines I guess except that I was expecting new mags from them to go along with my new pistols.

Well, I guess I'll be the first guy. I received a box today with M&P mags in it. I submitted my rebate for 3 40 cal mags and 3 45 mags, the first week the promo was posted here. The only thing is, the box I got didn't ship from S&W (came from Paducah KY) and the mags inside were not in any packaging. Frankly, they look like they may be used mags to me.

I'm not super happy about them advertising what sounds like new mags and then sending used mags. I guess they will still work and are of some value, but just not what I expected.

If they're not packaged individually in the blister packaging like retail stores get then I would expect some scratching. They were probably sent to the program distributor in a bulk box of hundreds of mags so they banged/rubbed against each other.

Go slap them into the mag well a few times and drop them in the dirt...then you'll not know one scratch from the other!

This is probably true. S&W may have sent them in bulk. If the mags I get looks used I wouldn't mind as long as they function properly. Its too bad cause I know everyone feels the same when I say getting something shiny & new in a box or package gets you all warm inside knowing you'll be the first to pop that cherry.

I submitted my rebate form via the web on the second day the offer was available for my M&P 45. I received a little brown box from Puducah KY today which contained three loose packed M&P 45 magazines. all 3 magazines appear to be used. They have wear marks, Knicks and dirt on the base plates. I was not expecting used magazines. When S&W had the 2 free magazine offer in 2014 I had purchased a M&P9 Performance Center ported barrel and received 2 brand new magazines. I figured I would receive the same when I submitted the offer for the M&P45. I was a little disappointed today but as long as the magazines function properly they were free.��

I just received my 3 free mags in the mail today. They are brand new. In fact they look better than the 2 mags I received with the gun when I bought it new.

Yay got my 3 in today, brand new, they look great and fit great. Mine were 12 round 9MM with pinkie rest. Came packed in a plain box stuffed with white packing paper. They are obviously new.

I received my 3 .45 mags today and they look new. They were loose in the box as other have mentioned which I have no issue with. Hopefully mr 3 9mm mags will be here soon as well.

I think everyone should get their magazines this or next week. Email them last week about the status of the magazines, they replied within the same day and emailed me the tracking# the next day. S&W doing a good job in customer service.

Received mines today! I purchased my M&P 45 midsize 3/20/15, submitted 4/1/2015. The base plates are a little beat up and scuffed, and sure the bodies of the mags are not polished fully but hell they still work and they were FREE! Thanks S&W! If Smith reads this and wants to send me more for free, I'll take them with open arms.
