I went for an insurance physical today. My old buddy, cancer, the gift that keeps on giving, couldn't make it on his own so he decided to move back in.

So, if you would, throw out a prayer, a kind thought, read some tea leaves or toss some chicken bones for me. I'll take it all.

Update!

Went to the medieval barber today to have some core samples taken. This newest batch has nested in and on my ear.

What fun! As he moved the needle towards my ear, he said "Who's a big boy?"

Not only did I confess to the Lindbergh baby but I have to have his Torqumada designed examination chair reupholstered as I took part of it with me.

So stick a pin in your cancer doll for me.

You seem to be like my generation of my family. We stay sane by being crazy. Humor, even of the gallows kind, has always been one of the main ways we coped. But it's not necessary to maintain it all the time, and we'll understand if you drop it occasionally.

Dang it Rust, I sure to hate to hear that! As a survivor and loser of numerous family and friends I have grown to hate, loath and despise the big C.

Heavy duty prayers to continue until we get that devil on the run again. And I will do my "I hate cancer" dance for you every night. I have to do this nekkid and I dare not do it where anyone can see it but I believe it works because I have to sing the music for it and I have a great singin' voice. I have learned that the power of prayer is a formidable weapon in the fight against this most evil disease.
