if you do, do you open or conceal carry? i carry my lcp and a spare mag in galco horsehide front pocket holsters. lcp right side, spare mag left side. i don't generally carry anything else in my pockets 'cause i'm home. i'll be the first to admit, i also have quick access to a larger firearm. Glock 41 with Arredondo +4 ext. whats your solution to the at home question? NEED to add, i live in a more urban area... if i could, my mini 14 would be over my mantle but that's not an option at my house.

I am on 12 acres, directly across the street is 500+ acres of pasture separated by a creek.

I have encountered many large wild animals while out in the back.

So to the OP, yes...and big.

I have my shield under the couch and the extra mag in the coffee table. My wife's 9mm is under her side of the bed and a shotgun hung up on the wall in our closet. Are house is not very big and the gun safe is in the garage with a few firearms loded out there.

Not usually. I invested in upgrading my doors and windows and there just really is no getting into my home quickly under any realistic circumstances. I do still have a handgun fairly close no matter where I am in the home. I do pretty much always have a lightweight folder (Spyderco Delica or Endura) on me except when in bed.

I put my gun on when I put my pants on and keep it on until the end of the day. So I do carry at home if I am already carrying. If I get up and am piddling around the house I don't go get a gun. Late in the day when I come out of my stuff I don't have a gun on me either. I do have a dog and a rifle within reach all the time though. I would never go for a pistol when I could go for a rifle.

It depends on how I'm dressed, if I'm wearing a hoodie I have my Shield in my pocket. If not I have my 6906 with in arm's reach.

No. Not in the home. Our crime rate is almost none. There are no home invasions or armed robbery or drugs or tweekers or anything like that. I think there were like 6 violent crimes last year and all involved fights. That being said I do keep a gun near buy within arms reach but I do not carry

Spent the day working in the yard with my little TCP in a pocket holster. That gun stays in my pocket no matter where I'm at. After seeding the lawn and getting everything cleaned up I took a shower and back in my pocket it went. Currently kicked back in the recliner and yes, the TCP is in my pocket. We live in a small, fairly quite rural community where not a lot goes on. Anytime I leave the house the Shield or 40c is with me along with the little TCP.

Yes. Whichever gun I carried that day. On the weekend I usually carry my J Frame in my pocket.

Yes, and either/or depending on how I'm dressed (belt or pocket carry). The J-frame lends itself very well to the role of an "always" gun.

I don't criticize others for not carrying in their home. My reasons are because I do not get to choose whether we're going to be "that home" or not and I'm not keen on leaving a loaded firearm unsecured and unsupervised.
