Seasonal fashion advice: The Trenchcoat. Required accessories, a fine wool scarf for the neck and a broad brim hat to keep precipitation away from the head and neck.
When getting into a car insure you pull up the back of the coat to insure you have full arm movement. Trapping your own arms can lead to a serious accident.
The trenchcoat belt should not be used for load bearing. Shift your revolver to a proper pocket holster, don't move a clip holster from your pants belt to the outside of the trenchcoat.
Custom tailored trenchcoats often use external patch pockets over the slash pocket. This allows easy replacement if you must shoot through the pocket.
Carrying a brace of 1911s in the trenchcoat pockets is contraindicated as a crippled newsy will take them away from you and give them to a private eye who drinks too much and screws his partner's wife.
