Yep . . . after being in love with S&W wheelguns for so long, I have strayed . . .

No, I'm not kicking the old lady to the curb, just succumbing to the urge to add another young thing to augment my sweet old lady. Does that young thing make me a sinning "Polly-Gun-Miss!";)

I love the snub wheelgun, but I can understand the appeal of semi auto pistols as carry guns. I don't carry, but I might be into an auto if I really felt the need to carry , in other words, felt a real threat that I might handle with a gun. I think carrying a fire extinguisher or a first aid kit is a more likely need in my life.

as much as i LOVE all my smiths, i too am a "sinner"... although i have forsaken my G-locks for an HK P30. the shield is one of the best carry pistols out there. the lgs i work part time for can't keep 'em in stock. i got one for my father in-law and he freakin' loves it. good buy, and a darn fine carry gun. congrats and you shall be forgivin...

You know what? Many of us have a fire extinguisher, a first aid kit, and a gun(s) handy most of the time.
Usually, some kind of basic tool kit, also.

One doesn't necessarily preclude the others.;)

I agree, I just haven't made carrying a gun a priority, other than for recreation. Not to say that the day won't come. I do carry the other items in my vehicle.

Yes it does you sinner you!
By the way, nice combo. One for the pocket, one for the hip. ;)

I own those two minus my snub is an 637! Both excellent shooters and i love the shield 9. You havent "strayed from the path" . You're right on the money. Both have a purpose in life. Its the desicions we make. Better to have guns for the different seasons than not .

We all like our wheel guns.
From the big N frame to the little J's.
They seem to be in our DNA.

However, if you got caught in some sort
of switch/dust-up...which would you rather
have. ?
Five rounds or 12+ ....

I am hip to near every old adage concerning
the revolver....and carry one as a back up.

But........
America has forever changed.

We are all sinners. The depth of your sin is not so bad as to not be forgivable. I would repent by immediately buying a P&R 4" (fill in the blanks). The flips side is that you didn't sin because all that happened was a craftsman picked the right tool for the job and you kept it in the family. hardcase60

As many different revolvers I let her shoot,my granddaughter decided she likes my Shield 9mm the best, and that's what she wants for a Graduation (from College) present. Looks like I will be getting one, clean it up real well, get a range bag, ear muffs, cleaning kit, and a supply of ammo for her. Then I will be making sure she gets to an insttuctor for getting her carry permit in CO.

I haven't sinned yet but I'm getting very close to following you in your sinful ways. My rational is that all of my guns that I currently CCW or use in the forest and field are dang near irreplaceable in terms of dollars. Yes, they all CAN be replaced but at least two to three times what I paid for them. However, I could go to the store tomorrow and replace that Shield, which by the way is the leading candidate for straying from the straight and narrow.

I admit to straying too, picked up the M&P (no laser) .380 in Feb. and after 600 + trouble free rounds I carry it often. My comfort lies with the revolver however and I cannot seem to separate myself from a J frame for EDC. Just picked up a Model 37 in nickel from 1976. It replaced my satin nickel 442 that was sold to a buddy earlier today.

I won't even ask for absolution. I've already admitted to carrying a Glock in another thread, and lusting after a shield in another.

The wife says I'm beyond redemption anyhow.

I'll post pics when I pick up a shield too.
