I've owned four different Keurig Models over the last 10 years and every one of them has presented me with some problems. Recently I decided to upgrade from a K75 which wouldn't pump water from the tank into the preheater, unless you completely removed the tank and put it back on (that's all, didn't have to fill it or anything else). So I found what seemed like a great deal and bought a new K-Carafe 350. The first cup went OK, but the second only put about 6 oz of coffee into the cup despite the 10 oz. size being selected. Thought I must have done something wrong, so I tried again only to have coffee and grounds pouring out of the dispenser. I received a RMA and after a little (belated) research I found out that Keurig had discontinued the problem plagued 350. Went to Walmart and bought a Mr. Coffee and filters. I may once again look at coffee pod machines, but not by Keurig.

I have a Keurig branded and Mr. Coffee licensed Keurig. Both have removable tanks and the secret to keeping those primed is to not remove the tanks and just filling from the top. Both are going on about 4 years. The Mr. Coffee Keurig makes 4-5 cups a day - I'm crossing my fingers.

I have NEVER had a Keurig, and I have NEVER had a problem. I use a 1 cup drip that I got from Brookstone about 12 years ago, and it won't wear out. I like that.

What he said. Only fill from the top on my K45. About once a week or so I dump the tank, rinse and refill with fresh water. When I do that I can expect a short cup on the first cup, after that it works perfect and has for over 4 years now.

The best drip system ever made was the Melitta. Glass carafe, plastic cone-shaped filter housing. Put coffee in filter, pour boiling water, wait a minute or two. No parts to break or wear out EVER!

My family has 3 kuerigs and don't have any issues. We don't remove water tanks for fill ups. They are all single serving models.

We have an older one at work with a silly selection of flavored foo-foo cartridges or whatever you call them. Went to look at some plain coffee k-cups for myself and simply could not get past the price per lb. that they costed out to. Good grief how much is a few seconds' convenience worth in actual dollars? Makes the price of Starbuck's whole bean look like a bargain.
Bought one of the reusable filter cups and some decent coffee and took it to work. Every time I go to make a cup at work my filter's in the Keurig and dirty and my coffee stash sure is going fast... hmmm
I have an ancient 2 pot Bunn restaurant machine at home. Bought it at auction. Keeps water at brewing temperature all the time and makes a full pot in under three minutes.
FOUR Keurigs? "Fool me once....." comes to mind.

I do like the K-cup design because everyone can have their own choice. My first Keurig had the tank on the side and you could program the time, cup size and even water temp.Needless to say it didn't last very long so I went to the basic "no frills" model and haven't had a problem since.

The Mr.Coffee brews too weak for me....Perked coffee takes too long.I even thought about a pinch of coffee tucked in the cheek but luckily that never became more than a thought.

Bought one for traveling .. easily the best cup of coffee you can make .. and so easy ..

Can't remember if it was in a hotel or motel but when I used to travel some of the places had this gizmo on the wall that boiled water for a cup of Sanka.

Convenience costs. No world breaking news there.

I've seen the Keurig "basket" that is the same size of the K cup so you can put coffee in there yourself. That defeats the purpose for me so I don't use it.

You can buy 100 k cup servings at SAMs for $50. So with tax you are at a whopping $0.55 per cup. It's really good coffee too. Hot and fresh cup of coffee in seconds.

I've been using a Black & Decker DCM18S Brew 'n Go Personal Coffee Maker for the past 15 years. Check it out, it has a cult following on Amazon. Makes one great 16 oz cup of coffee. I get my coffee beans a Sam's and grind them at the store on the FINE/ESPRESSO setting. Comes out like a flour. With the single serve Melitta brand disposable paper filter (4 cents), a cup cost less than 20 cents, and the super fine grind makes a pound of coffee last a looooong time.

Unfortunately, the coffee maker itself only last about 5 to 6 years where I live because the water is so hard. Even with a water softener, and regular acid cleaning, there's too much hardness that remains in the water. Eventually, it will destroy the electric heating element. But a new Brew 'n Go is only $16, so no big whoop. Any coffee maker I use would be subject to the same early demise, it's not a fault with the Brew 'n Go.

I remove the tank on my Keurig about every other day to fill it and have never had a problem with it.

I've had other problems with them over the years but every time Keurig just sent me a new machine for free. I've probably had 3 of them in the last 10 or 12 years.

Great customer service.
