Now here's rational! ;)

Isaac seems a great kid who will be a better man than most.
We should all be so fortunate to have such a friend.

Thank You Native, and Thanks to All.
I'm a firm believer in "what's meant to be".
I think Isaac was meant to be there for the
other two kids.
The First Fireman on the scene was a 25 year veteran of
First Responder work. He said it was about the worst
one he had ever seen and couldn't believe any of them
got out alive.
Here's two pictures of the car. Isaac was in back seat.

Some of you are better at identifying a car than myself.
I don't even know what make that was.

You just never know when it comes to vehicular accidents.

I was enroute with a partner to Knoxville, TN from Atlanta when a cute gal we had been leapfrogging with on the highway picked the wrong time to rummage through her purse. As she looked down her vehicle veered all the way to the right, hit a guard rail and bounced back into traffic at which time she was run over by an 18 wheeler that couldn't stop in time.

When I got to her vehicle I feared that she was dead. After my partner and the trucker succeeded in extinguishing the flames in the engine compartment, I was able to pull the door off the passenger side and render some basic aid until the paramedics arrived.

The driver side was completely crushed down to the seat but because she wasn't wearing her seat belt she was mercifully flung to the passenger side which ended up saving her life.

It was a miracle that she wasn't harmed beyond superficially.
Had you seen the wreck you'd never have believed it.

So glad to hear that your young friends and their families were spared the worst.

Wifey, The Post It Note Queen:

Just found my notes for the day.

Note #1) Empty all the trash out of the house, trash man runs tomorrow. (She's goofy, I know the trash man comes every Thursday and has since we've lived here)

Note#2) if you get out, buy some stamps. I need them before Friday.

Note#3) we need dish washing detergent.

Note#4) call your doctor about test results from 2 weeks ago.

So these are scattered all over, my desk. My end table where I sit, on the kitchen counter. Probably more places, that I'm not going to look.

My posted notes to her, placed on the back side of her's. Left on our dresser, were she puts her purse.

#1) Sure

#2) I didn't go out

#3) see note #2

#4) for the 10th time, they'll call me if any problems or questions!!!

It pisses her off if leave her a note on her notes? But it's OK to leave 5-6 everyday for me? I give up!

From Homer Bast's Captain's Diary, USS Yolo off Okinawa this date 1945:

June 15, 1945

No alerts last night. It is so hot the men sleep on the deck as I do. The new ports in the wardroom and my cabin are secured; the ports are for light. A number of Marines came on board for a meal. It was denied because the word, passed down from the high command, said if we gave to one we, must give to all.

CO’s of vessels coming alongside come in to say hello and pass on a little scuttlebutt. Most are happy at what they receive from us. A very few become belligerent and want the moon. We settle those characters down with a “Listen now son…” a good tongue lashing follows along with an explanation as to why we do what we do.

Commander Ageton’s yeoman told our yeoman we had one of the best action reports they had seen. Following lunch of grilled steak, a great meal, the officers asked questions from the “World Almanac”. At dinner the exec of the LST 675 came aboard. His ship on April 4th struck an un-chartered pinnacle in retracting, had her bottom ripped open and will be decommissioned and used as a post office. The 675 broached causing the LSM 121 to broach and break up. At sea, the jeep carriers bomb and strafe the installations on the Sakishimas.
