While out walking, I thought I should post a tune from 1945 in honor of the USS Yolo. I found this. It is stupid almost idiotic; not sure if it was a hit, but I remember my dad would play it when I was a kid. Everyone would laugh:

Good morning drift! Made another night and have my coffee so I am doing good. Going to start shopping for a .223 / 5.56 bolt gun,any suggestion appreciated. Thinking something with lightweight barrel but blued and wood if I can find one. May have to go with a varmint type but not my first choice, just don't know what is out there.

Good morning drifters,,,,,Hope everyone is having a good day! ;)
Not off to a good start here today, clouds and now a steady rain,I'm now hearing thunder! Temps are down currently 66 degrees. There will probably be no progress on the deck today! :( I can't wait for this project to be over and most of all I'm going to hate writing the check when it's over! One thing I'm sure of I picked the right guy to do it. He's going over everything and making all the hidden repairs that we didn't see, it will make the deck 99.9999% safe again!
Lot of good things have been posted, Snub that Lasagna looks outstanding! ;)
A lot of good music and other good things of drifting interest!
vonn good luck with your rifle search! ;
Geoff, be safe in your travels! Hope the new Motorhome is working well for you and meeting your expectations! ;)
So we are now 5 pages away from having 1000 pages of Drift Drivel! :D Wow!

Well had my coffee and headed out for breakfast! Drift on and be safe! ;)

Been taking my morning coffee out on the veranda
by the pool and watching the kids rope a few steers.

Ma is a fryin' country ham, the salt cured kind imported directly from Tennessee,
fresh eggs gather jest this morning and a pan of scratch biscuits with homemade strawberry preserves.

All is right with the world in North Texas.

Ya'll have a great day today thar folks.

Oh, and proudly open carry one in a nice lookin leather rig, if ya get a chance ;):D

Me too, I leaning towards a Kimber Classic in 223, got one in
257 Roberts and it's a keeper. Also, got one in 22LR.

Yeah, think I get a Kimber.

Good Morning

I hope all is well with all of you?

It's going to be another HOT one today here in Middle Tennessee. 99 degrees and heat index 103? Humility level 350%. Not really, but that's what it's going to feel like.

So stay safe, stay cool, use plenty of deodorant and have a GREAT DAY!

Aaaarrrrrggghhhh!!!

Comcast - a pox upon them all !

After spending approximately 6 hours on the phone, most of that on hold, I was finally upgraded to "tier 3," whatever that means.

I exchanged all of the cable boxes on Monday, was told Tuesday to do the same with cable modem. (Sigh.) Another hour on the phone with the bigwigs in Denver saw me 'upgraded' to an immediate service call...between 9a-5p.

Dogs barked, truck showed up.

Steve putted around for an hour.

Stan told me to look outside again.

What? More of them?

Now Kyle showed up and informed me there's a THIRD truck coming, this one with a bucket, to string a new drop from the pole to the house.

After two hours of showing them every cable run in the house, I was left with one working tv, one working landline, and half-speed internet. A trenching crew has been dispatched to run a bigger pipeline from pole to house, and they will connect this run in the future. This will allegedly fix all of the ongoing issues.

The best part? Steve and Kyle both stepped in poop - one deer, one dog - and left dueling tracks around the house even Inspecteur Clouseau could have followed. Took better part of an hour and a whole bottle of Nature's Miracle to clean up.

Well, learn something every day! i wasn't aware that the humility level was quantifiable. Just sayin...
