Give us a 3 inch k frame! 10 or 13 in the classics line up or a 64/65. Everyone goes crazy for 3 inch guns. What gives? They will sell every single one. Its a no brainer.
One thing being overlooked is WHY a 3" barrel is the best length.
Aside from a bit better powder burn time, a 3" barrel allows a FULL LENGTH EJECTOR ROD, which means the empty cases completely clear the cylinder. A 2" or 2.5" barrel has a short ejector rod and the cases do not completely clear. This means sometimes, especially in a dirty gun, you have to pluck a case or two out.
I agree. All you can get now with a 3" barrel is a 686+ and that 7 shot cylinder adds width I don't need and the full under lug barrel adds weight I don't want.
I want a nice six shot K-frame revolver with a 3" barrel with a plain shrouded ejector rod.
I'm carrying a 2 3/4" Speed Six today because it's too hot and sweaty for my Model 13 (which needs oiled every evening), and I can't find a 3" Model 64 or 65.

I'd also buy a new version of a 547 with a 3" barrel as well.
And I also have no desire for fluted or slab sided barrels. Ugly by any standard.
