I like Eggnog, a lot, fat calories not withstanding, so I'm having one, or two, or three :D of my favorite drinks tonight.

Crown Royal Black and eggnog. My honey is home in Mansfield, 60 miles away, so I'm drowning my sorrows, until she gets here tomorrow afternoon. I'm retired, she still works :(, and plans on doing so for another 3 1/2 years if possible.

Had a talk with my daughter and son, and told them I wanted to marry her. I was really worried about my daughter, as she was very close with her mother, but she gave her blessing as did my son and daughter-in-law. It's been almost 2 years since my wife passed away, and in some ways I feel guilty, but I want the companionship of a woman and partner, and my lovely lady fulfills all my needs, and I'm happy.

Good for you, Bill, both on account of the eggnog, and the relationship!!

I only drink a few eggnogs each year, usually from about now through the first of the year. I have always associated them with Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years celebrations. I usually have mine with white rum, but the Crown Eoyal Black sounds, well, Regal!!

Best of the season to you and yours.

Best Regards, Les

And to you as well Les.

Hope you are drinking from the glasses with big antlers per the Christmas movie

...both mature and unselfish enough to know that your new honey is not there to replace their mother. Good luck in the coming years.

Thank you. We were in Charleston in October as my fiancee attended a nursing conference at the Francis Marion Hotel. Made sure I ate plenty of oysters, fried green tomatoes, and grits. The City is beautiful and people were very friendly. Had a great time.

I'm having a peaty scotch night, so I'll use your good fortune as an excuse to pour myself another Talisker. Here's to you and your future happiness. Slainte, as the Scots say.

And thanks for the reminder about the eggnog. I always take the lazy way and buy Evan Williams Eggnog; got bourbon and brandy already in it and is quite addictive. I'll have to swing by the liquor store tomorrow.

Men don't seem to do as well alone as women do. Only you can know if this woman is truly the right one. If she is and if you're ready, then go for it. If both of your financial situations would be better if you aren't married then live together, I'm not judgmental in that regard by any means.

My wife has often said if I were to go first, she doesn't think she would ever re-marry. I've told her that as much as I love her, I don't think I could be alone. She said she understands. I'm sure your late wife would as well. Life is too short to not be happy.

Thanks for the tip on the Evan Williams with the eggnog in it already. I normally drink Ezra Brooks but on occasion they are out Evan fills in nicely. Believe I might drop by the local establishment and pick up a bottle of that libation. I too only think of eggnog around this time of year.

Which part did you like the best? The eggnog or the romance??:)

I'm embarrassed to say I extrapolated his eggnog tale into an entire Hallmark Channel movie. A proposal in a gondola in Venice, the accepting adult children smiling at the wedding, the grandchildren as flower girl and ring bearer, honeymoon in Paris..... I'm such a sap! :o

Before I give my blessings, I have questions:
1. What type of weapon does your Lady carry ?
2. What weapons does She own
3. Does she enjoy John Wayne movies
4. Does She like grits
Yours Buddy,
Jimmy

She has a 642 that I bought her and she does have her CCW license, but, she is not allowed to have it on Hospital property, including keeping it in her vehicle.

I bought her a Beretta 391 semi-auto 12 gauge shotgun, which she uses to shoot trap, which we haven't done since she had both knees replaced last February. Hopefully we will start shooting again soon.

She also likes shooting one of my Model 18's and a Model 15 too.

She likes John Wayne movies.:D

And we like grits, southern style, along with fried green tomatoes. Yummy.

Anything else Pard?:D
