I recently fell in love with my 2009 vintage 351PD again after doing the whole pocket .380, single stack 9mm thing. I still have all those guns, but I forgot what a pleasure it is to carry the 351PD. I prefer to carry AIWB and revolvers just carry better for me than any semi auto. I thought I would post a photo of what is, in my humble opinion, the best AIWB carry grip which is particularly suited for the 351PD. Those of you old enough might remember the plastic version of this grip (called the Barami hip grip) which is still available and was widely in use in the 80's. The Barami was prone to breakage, and wasn't very attractive plus it did not provide an adequate level of control in a high recoil J frame, requiring constant hand readjustment after each shot...at least for me. This Dymondwood version is extremely strong, pleasing to the eye, and perfectly controllable in a low recoil revolver like the 351PD. IMHO the ultimate AIWB solution for this gun.

Lol. I have a couple of those lying around...but this shoots so softly it's not really needed to keep a good grip

Nice grips. I do like grips that fill the area behind the trigger guard, even for rimfires. I use the pink rubber grips or Ahrends boot grips on my 351c.

Interesting. I might be on board with this if I knew what the lip was for... part of the holstered retention, maybe? Forgive me.

As an owner of a 351PD, I will concur with the gun's light weight and 7-shot capacity of fire-breathing .22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire greatness! A highly underrated piece, this.

Theoretically they take the place of a holster.
Tuck the revolver into your waistband with the "lip" hooked over your waistband/belt.

Like the OP said, they are a wood version of the old Barami hip-grips...

For me, with a good belt, gun stays put in appendix carry all day. It works particularly well with the gun being as light as it is. Deeper concealment than is possible with any holster.

I appendix carry in gym shorts with hip grips and the gun never ever moves. Don't notice it either.

^ ^ ^ That's crazy talk! The only reason to shoot .357 from that gun is to demonstrate to shooters of the big-bore handguns what REAL recoil is like... hee.

What's your preferred load?

135gr .357 Speer GD Short Barrel

Big bore shooters don't know a thing about recoil until they shoot one of these with 180 grain full house loads LOL
