I kick myself weekly.....

I have a sweet 17-5 that was gonna be a trade in on a SW22 last week. The offer from the LGS was so low it pissed my wife off, LOL. A couple guys at work heard the story and want to buy it now.
Upon discussion it seems there is gonna one lucky grandkid when the time comes.

A 32-20 S&W Hand Ejector model, that I paid $100 for 25 years ago. Good shooter, but 32-20 wasn't popular then as SaSS wasn't big in this area, so ammo was a lot more expensive than I expected. It was LOUD, but very accurate and I didn't realize how good the .32-20 was.

Would love to shoot .32 Long out of one today.

Back when I was young & poor, I had to trade one to buy one. Sometimes the deal was a good one, sometimes not so much. Finally, I decided not to trade at all. Just saved up for another gun. Now, in old age, I find I have so many guns I can hardly keep track. In fact, I have guns I haven't even shot.

I still wish i had the revolver that started my S&W addiction . A model 28-2 SN. S271687 It had the factory diamond magnas, light holster wear and was a great shooter. should have never traded it off. I will either find it or a similar gun to replace it eventually. That gun made me a big fan of the .357 magnum cartridge and S&W revolvers.

You COULD, I suppose. Awful hard on the brass, though, shooting it in that much of an oversize chamber. Gonna swell all to hell, and could easily split.
