My brother was out checking pawnshops first thing this morning and called to tell me about a 3" 625-3, great condition with the wood combats.... I figure he was either mistaken on the make/model or the specifics but I took a chance and went to look at it anyway....

There in the case was this beauty.... said they'd just put it out a few minutes before(as my brother was entering). The asking price on the tag was $799...... salesman said they could do 750 OTD, I asked if they'd do 650.... he went in back to talk to the manager and came back at $675.... she came home with me.... I would have been happy to pay the price on the tag...lol

Very nice! These actually came originally with Pachmayr rubber stocks but I'm fairly sure you're not too stressed out about that :).

Murphy dog,
I had a 5" 625 from around 1989-90, it had the full size pachmyers with finger grooves.... did these have the same grips or the compact combat type without finger grooves?

Yeah, I'm quite pleased with the shoes she's wearing.

Great score indeed... here's my 3" 625-3 "45Cal Model of 1989" chambered in 45ACP wearing a beautiful set of Culina Exhibition Grade Snakeskin FiddleBack Royal Walnut combat grips.

I am curious if the OP's gun is a BEN serial prefix. I have encountered four or five of these guns "including mine" in the past year or so and they all seem to have the same prefix in a 3" 625-3.

Yes, the fingergroove style is correct - *shudder* ;).
