Early yesterday morning, as I woke to get a drink of water-I decided for some unkn reason, to go look out my front door. I unlocked the locks-and noticed a cat (sex unkn till late yesterday) who is about 8 or so months old-come up from my step to investigate the noise that disrupted it's sleep.
I went to the fridge-got two slices of chicken lunch meat and took it to the door-hoping to feed the kitty-to Sandy's chagrin. I reopened the door-said cat was nowhere to be seen and I was hoping I had not scared it off?
Well, I had to work an over double shift yesterday going in early coming out late. I got home-and that kitty was laying near my front porch. As I approached-it meowed and I got a close look-found out it is a female. Real pretty long-haired grey and white cat.
This cat MUST have been a house cat-and sadly, dumped in the neighborhood very recently by some cold-hearted scumbag. She came up to me and adopted me immediately. I went in, grabbed more lunchmeat and a can of Sandy's Fancy Feast-(again to her chagrin) and went outside to feed the kitty-and give her a bowl of water. I also got rubbed by her-pet her etx.
Now--before people start telling me what I want to do badly, the apt complex just changed ownership and we are not allowed more than one critter in our apartments--or that cat would now be in mine. I'm HOPING that after the complex transition carp settles down, that MAYBE I can sneak her in-if she survives? Ill be buying her - her own bag of catfood this afternoon while stocking up on more for Sandy.
So wish me all the luck you all can spare-that I can sneak this pretty gal inside and without the idiot new owners finding out. The main trouble is-is one never knows when a maintenance guy will come inside-and will see both cats there.
