"As a suggestion. Get a Kahr CM9"

Why? No more Moonies for me.

I have a PM 9 and a Shield and other assorted small 9mm pistolas;)

There is no .380 +P+ data.
Getting 1200fps with a 100gr bullet seems unlikely.
You'll likely have to settle for less velocity, much lighter bullets, or a larger pistol like a 9mm.

I am looking for +P+ load data for the 380 ACP with a 100 gr or more JHP bullet.

Needs to be able to penetrate glass, car doors, denim and still be a one shot stopper round.

Must exceed 1200 fps out of a 2 inch barrel.

What's the best powder??
Buffalo Bore 100 gr hard lead RNFP comes close at my chrono 1073 fps out of my 2.75" Sig P238. Recoil isn't bad, but snappy compared to other factory .380 loads.

Given that BB uses powders you can't get at your LGS, I doubt you can get more than ~950 fps at a safe pressure. I've never seen a SAAMI +P spec or a load in any loading tables that is called +P for .380.

For what you want, in a semi auto, go to a pocket 9mm.

You may want to edit your original post before the digital pitchforks and torches come out. :)

While I don't have a ++P++ load for a 380, I do load a 38 Special to approx. 1800 fps with a 230 gr AP bullet over a max load of Norma R1. Easy shootin' from my 2" S&W and quite accurate out to 300 yards...

First liar ain't gotta chance...

I actually load Pat Reagan's (Badman Bullets) 230 grain telephone poles in .38 special. Run about 575-600 fps, and tons of energy on impact.

What we have done here in Mexico, due to our stupid and over regulated laws regarding guns, is to convert 1911 in 38 super or 9 mm into 380 acp (wich is the larger caliber in a semiautomatic handgun that an individual can legally own here).

With the 1911 platform, along with the BHP and Beretta 92 in 380 acp, the common load that we use is LRN or LFN of 125 grs with 3.6 grs of BE. It gives 1050-1125 fps depending on the barrel lenght of the gun (4-5").

But again, this is done in a 1911 not in a fixed barrel PPK or similar gun.

Be careful with your loads.

I attached some pictures of my son in an IDPA match and a bowling pin match. As you can see he is using a Custom Combat Commander in 380 ACP. I also attached a picture of my BHP in 380.

No problem with those guns using our reloads, no signs of over pressure, no cracked brass. But again, these are not fixed barrel guns. These guns were originally design to be used with more powerful loads.

I would not....I REPEAT, I WOULD NOT USE THESE RELOADS in my Sig P 250, or Glock 42 or in any other handgun originally designed for .380 acp.
