Hello from the UK

Hi and thanks all,

In answer to the questions above,

As stated, Northern Ireland still allows handguns, mainly due to the fact that a significant number of its residents are permitted to carry personal protection weapons, off duty security forces and those who have had a threat to life from the various terrorist organisations and that before the ban in the mainland, all handguns are ballistically recorded, a procedure that is still conducted every time a gun is sold to a new owner.

Personally I've shot in about every type of discipline going but mainly concentrate on practical and a bit of gallery rifle. Whenever I can, I get out and help manage the deer population, which has always puzzled me why I'm quite happy to sit up a tree for hours on end waiting for a deer to walk past, yet I don't have the patience to sit on a river bank and fish!
Fishing is a sport that should be conducted with high explosives.:)

For calibres, I shoot 9mm, 10mm, 38, .357, .45, .22, .44 and 25-06. I run two xl650s for the pistol and a turret press for the rifle.

With a handle like Flying Felix Im surprised your avitar pic isnt of a Spad with twin MG`s.
Glad you are in a Free part of the UK and nice shooting scores on multi calibers..

Thanks Jim,

Flying Felix was a nickname given to me during pilot training. Felix is the callsign for our EOD teams and has been my main occupation in the military.

My agency always relied on the military EOD guys whenever we had a real, or suspected explosive device. When it came time for the block of instruction on bombs, the FBI forensics instructor at the National Academy told us "Don't touch it. It will kill you." And that was the extent of my bomb disposal training. So, please accept my sincere thanks for your service. Good shootin',
Doug

P.S. He said the same thing about electricity. Words I live by to this day :)
