Congratulations to Lord Stanley's Cup champion Capitals! Well played. Very happy for Ovechkin, he's a truly great player.

Congratulations to the Washington Capitols and their fans on a great run. It was worth seeing the Caps get it just to see Ovechkins reaction. He deserves the win for sure.
Also a big thanks to labworm for hosting this awesome thread again and to all the super folks who take part in it. Your a great bunch of guys and it's a pleasure to associate with you.

That was some great hockey, it's a shame it had to end at five games. Hats off to Las Vegas; the end was in doubt right up to the 0.06 second mark. I was delighted to see Ovechkin skate with the cup.

I have to admit I had to change the channel after the Ovechkin interview on the ice. I couldn't stick around to watch them skate the cup.
Last one I watched was Messier and the Rangers on June 14, 1994.
(I hope to live long enough to see them do it again...but at least I saw it once.)

Congrats to the Knights for having a terrific season and unbelievable entry into the NHL.

I was off one game. Thought the Caps would have beat that bunch of thugs in 6 games. But whipping them on their home ice was fantastic!!!!!!!!!
As far as that pre-game ****, it's stupid & classless. But then again it's Las Vegas. And the crowd chanting "Kill, Kill Kill, Kill was even worse. And after what happened there, well, I have no words to describe the Las Vegas Golden Knights organization as having no class at all.
As far as Smith-Pelly not going to the White House Fantastic. I'm just wondering if an invitation had been extended when he shot his mouth off? Another lack of class! I hope Mr. Leonsis sends him packing after that comment!!!

Thanks to all the posters for keeping this thread civil and free of really nasty comments.
A great group of hockey fans that make this thread what it is.
Lots of funny comments, food ideas and most of all "respect for others that cheer for different teams".
I'd love to take in a game with any of you, excluding one and I do mean that.
