Noticed in the First Movie Thread that I was the only B Western Guy.
I loved the B Oaters and one reason was the Sidekick.
The Oaters always had the main Hero, Gene, Roy, Hopalong, Lash La Rue, Johnny Mack Brown, etc.
But all those guys always had a Sidekick.
The Sidekick's job was to add an element of comedy to the serious job of righting wrongs.
When push come to shove-
The Sidekick always backed up the the Hero, he was reliable as your Mother.
So who was your favorite Sidekick?
Mine was Al Fuzzy St John.
Here he is giving Tex Ritter a singing lesson.

Red Rider's side kick - Little something (Indian) Robert Blake (also Beretta) Now 83 and married to his third Wife (55)

LOLOL: We had a little East Indian engineer and the technician that worked for him was a red headed guy. When people saw them together they called them "Red Ryder and Little Beaver".:D:D:D
 
Fred Harmon was a Cowboy Artist from Pagosa Springs, CO.
He drew the Red Ryder Comic Strip.
Red's Sidekick was Little Beaver, a Jacarilla Apache from nearby Dulce, NM.
Robert Blake and other child actors portrayed Little Beaver.
Little Beaver spoke broken English.
You need to know that the Jacarillas' Still celebrate Little Beaver.
The annual rodeo event is named for him.
