Anyone wearing Levi's?

Best pair for me was from JC Penney, had them over 20 years well into my 30's, finally wore out on the front of the thighs. No Levi's since I outgrew the 32 in my 40's. Have some Wranglers around, don't wear them much as their too hot in the summer and not worth spit even in a So. Fla. winter.
Picked a pair of Duluth Fire Hose pants a couple years ago. Not cold enough to wear that often so they may never break in. Great pants, well fitting yet roomy, may try a lighter weight pair after I save my pennies.

Same here...looked like I'd been stealing plums.

that's a peachy comment. :D

last time i bought levis was 2 years ago this month when a local kmart was going out of business and cutting prices, i bought 2 or 3 pairs. they will now be the last levis i ever buy.
i was never a levi only guy as i also have wranglers and lees.

Where I live, just the thought of wearing jeans makes me sweat for most of the year. April-October has me in heavy-duty Aftco fishing shorts or some Cabela's shorts. Hate shorts that come to the knee and below.

When it finally cools off, have enough leftover 5.11's and BDU's from work that do fine.
A few store-brand pairs of jeans from Tractor Supply, 'Schmidt's I believe, work fine. Carrhardt-esque without the price.

I just bought two pairs of "Member's Mark" jeans at Sam's Club for $12.99 a pair. They are superior in every way to Levis product.
If you go to Levi's website you'll find very little in the way of how they are producing quality products...most everything on their webpage is about "sustainability" and how they aren't exploiting cheap laborers overseas. Internet feedback OTOH is almost unanimous in declaring Levi's products as overpriced ****.

Never bought Levi jeans, always thought they were to expensive and paying for the name. I do have Levi jean shorts though but I got them for a real good sale price! Have enough to last me awhile but I won't be looking at them again! ;)

Pretty soon, everybody here is gonna be pantsless, shirtless, and shoeless, just sitting around wrapped in a bedsheet typing . . .

Ever heard of a thrift store? Or the Goodwill, St. Vincent DePaul shops etc? Buy old clothes that are better made, and still more durable than the brand new stuff. I even occasionally buy military surplus clothing from around the world.

No Levis or Nike shoes for me. It's wretched when big companies CEO's interject the company into politics. It does some damage the brand.

Not only clothes, but music too. I was a big fan of CCR and John Fogarty. Then he started expressing his political views, which he is free to do, but then I am free to never buy any more of the music he produces. Remember the Dixie Chicks? Same story.
"Shut up and sing", as the saying goes.

Not only clothes, but music too. I was a big fan of CCR and John Fogarty. Then he started expressing his political views...

John Fogerty and Creedence expressed their views in song from the beginning. Fogerty was openly anti-war, as was his bother, Tom. It wasn't in all their music, but it was there in some, enough to be noticed, but they didn't make a big deal out of it.

"Fortunate Son" and "Who'll Stop the Rain"are two songs that come to mind. "Who'll Stop the Rain" is more subtle, but its meaning is clear. The fans quickly picked up on it.

"Fortunate Son" was clearly an anti-war, anti-upper-class. It was featured in the film Forrest Gump as Forrest leaves for Vietnam.

Both songs have been recorded and performed by lots of other performers.

None of this has anything to do with Levis, of course, but just figured I'd thrown it out there anyway. Thread drift is common around these parts.

Have not worn Levis for about 30 years.
Mostly because of their weak spine non thinking beliefs.
Also they fit horribly. This has nothing to do with the body mutating and deforming from age.

You might also look into some from Duluth Trading Company.

I switched to Duluths years ago. If they are political I haven't heard about it.
There is now a brick and mortar store in Arlington.

I have a son that wares Levi's every time he sit's down he takes his wallet out of his back pocket, I asked him why, he said it hurts his butt to sit on it, I told him if he would ware Wranglers that would not happen, he is always leaving his wallet someplace.

DOOODE! Front pocket! Harder to pick that way, too.

Gave up on Levis back in the 1980s...went to Wrangler and Lee. Most of mine now are from Diamond Gusset and Duluth Trading Company...

Nike...been gone since the 1980s also...much prefer American made New Balance...

Have one Nike article of clothing left...a very expensive hoodie that apparently was placed on a car roof and forgotten as I found it in the road early one morning...and on Sunday it is getting used as a cover garment for a rubber dummy in a shoot that I am running...to be ventilated...
