I've been burning the midnight oil to get 1000 rounds through my new M2.0 compact in 9mm as fast as possible. I finished up last night and I thought I'd share my thoughts with anyone interested.

When I can, I like to test a gun straight out of the box with the factory lubricant so after purchase I simply took the gun apart to inspect it and make sure there were no glaring issues before shooting it. My initial plan was to do a 250 round break in and then clean it, but it performed so well through those first 250 rounds that I decided to see if I could make the full 1000 rounds without any malfunctions.

The ammo I used for the test was some Fiocchi 115gr 9mm that they were kind enough to provide for me. I wanted to use their ammo because in the last year I've shot thousands of rounds of their 9mm and have had zero issues. This gave me confidence that if I ran into any malfunctions, it wouldn't be ammo related and would speed up my troubleshooting process. The M2.0 Compact ate the ammo with zero complaints.

During the testing I spread the rounds across 6 magazines. The two 15 round magazines that came with the gun, two 17 round Smith and Wesson magazines, and two 17 round ACT-MAG magazines. All the magazines performed flawlessly and I ran into no "over insertion" issues with the full size mags when not using the provided spacers.

I did accuracy testing at 300 and 700 total rounds through the gun. The testing was done at 5 yards with 5 shot groups. My 300 round testing was unimpressive but I think that was mostly due to me rushing the shots. at 700 rounds I got between 1" and 0.75" groups. For reference the groups were shot standing. I'm going to go ahead and say that the gun is more accurate than I am.

I wanted to see if I ran into any "limp wristing" issues so I shot a few magazines strong hand only and a few magazines weak hand only. It's worth noting that I have zero history of limp wristing problems so that's not to say someone else may run into issues.

The only "issues" I found with the gun were that slide lock on the right side of the gun only works as a slide lock. I could not get the slide to release on that side. That is not an issue for me because I always rack the slide. The other issue was with the grip texturing.

I want to make it clear that I really like the grip texturing. When shooting it gives you very positive control over the gun which leads to very fast accurate groups. That said, if you are doing a high volume of fire over a short period of time, it will start to irritate your hands. To be fair though, if you're in a situation where you're having to shoot hundreds of rounds over the course of an hour, it's likely the pain in your hands will be the least of your worries.

The other area where the grip texturing comes into play is when carrying the gun inside the waistband. The grip will rub your skin and it will not be comfortable. This can be alleviated by either wearing an undershirt or smoothing one of the 4 removable grip panels to use for concealed carry. The aggressive texturing will also grab onto your shirt and over time could lead to the gun exposing itself.

All in all I really really like this gun and if it wasn't for my extensive carry infrastructure built around Glocks (training, mags, holsters, etc.) I would not hesitate to integrate this into my every day carry.
