Anyone wearing Levi's?

Ain't nuttin wrong with a good 'ol pair o' Wally World Wranglers for this here cow poke. :D

Seriously, I'm a Wrangler man. Really inexpensive yet they hold up, and on the pairs I've gotten, the belt loop spacing is really good for OWB duty style carry and mag placement on the opposite side. I'm a fan. Levis are for pretty boys IMNSHO.

The only jeans I wear are the free FR jeans I get for work from the company I work for. Wrangler and Bulwark brand. I haven't bought anything from Levi Strauss & Co. since the early 80's; too expensive and their politics don't jive with me.

JEANS

Haven't bought "L" since they cut off funding for the Boy Scouts many years back. I wouldn't touch any thing with their name on it. Current news just reinforces my thoughts on the subject. Just the way it is.

Wranglers for me...

I've mentioned this here a few times. L L Bean not only makes GREAT Jeans ( they last "forever" ) they also have much larger pockets than any other conventional jeans I know of. Perfect for a M60 or similar ....... :D :D

They also come in three different "fits", Relaxed, Natural & Classic and are available with flannel or fleece lining too. They also come in more sizes such as 35, 37 & 39 " waists whereas most jeans only come in even sizes. I've been an LL Bean Jeans guy for over 35 years and think very highly of them. ;)

I've been wearing Levis since I was a little kid, maybe 6 or 7. I just bought a couple of pair at the beginning of the academic year in August. I usually buy new ones every year, and use the older ones for work around the farm and camps, and have Levis that are probably 20 years old. As they wear more, I use them for paining, weed eating, mowing the grass, etc. I'll bet I have 30 pair, with some stored at both cabins, and at home. Yikes!!

I never really thought much about politics and clothing. But the company is making the choice to become involved, not me, so I guess I will have to think about it, whether I want to or not.

I probably won't be "burning" my clothes, but would think twice about buying any more. Why these corporate people think they need to interject themselves into political debates which will alienate at least half of their customer base is beyond me. Dick's is an example. They certainly stuck their foot in it with their recent move. Now they are losing market share big time, and of course, other companies are picking up the lost revenue. I sure hope the same happens to Levi. Shame on them.

Chief, just read your post...I wear LL Bean shirts almost exclusively...that's what I have on right now. Think I'll try a pair of jeans and see how I like them.

Best Regards, Les

I wore Levis up until I got married in '97. Wife started buying JC Penny jeans that she claimed were made by Levi and a lot cheaper. When those jeans disappeared I started wearing Lee and Carhartt. Haven't seen a reason to change. Levis always wore out a lot quicker anyway.

I do not buy Levi's for their politics, and cost. I buy LL Bean's when they have a sale and Carhartts. In the summer I wear cheap Old Navy jeans, because they are thinner and cooler.

Looks like there will be no more Nike in my closets.

I don't buy Remington products either, because IMO they folded like a cheap suitcase on giving up the Lordship Gun Club facility, and moved their manufacturing out of CT where generations of people worked.

I also try not to buy anything made in Vietnam

I wore Levi's until I learned about their political stances decades ago. I quit buying them. Post op (-20 lbs), I think I might fit into the couple of pairs still hanging in the closet.

I also quit buying UnderArmor, but being retired, I'm not gonna impact their bottom line.

I have a son that wares Levi's every time he sit's down he takes his wallet out of his back pocket, I asked him why, he said it hurts his butt to sit on it, I told him if he would ware Wranglers that would not happen, he is always leaving his wallet someplace.

Burning clothes is not the best answer in my mind (although it is very satisfying).
Give them to someone who would otherwise perhaps be purchasing some.
You have the potential of preventing two sales, rather than just one.
It's worth a try......

I could probably find something I dont like or disagree with in other companies as well, but thats not why I dont wear Levi's.
Actually dont like wearing jeans much and Levis never fit me well, and at this stage in my life I prefer comfy loose fitting clothing. Some of that likely due to working out of a home office for years so i am used to wearing whatever i want. Pants optional LOL.

Seriously if i was upset with an apparel company i would never burn or toss clothing (like what is happening with a certain shoe co now). I would donate the items to some group or shelter for someone who maybe needs it far more than I do. Just my .02

My denim jeans come from '" The Texas Jean Company " . Much better quality , bigger pockets , better price and excellent customer service , made in the USA using only USA materials . Regards, Paul
