Shield 2.0 red to green laser upgrade?

Recently I got a very good deal on an almost new Shield 2.0 9mm with the factory integrated Crimson Trace red laser. From what I've seen on-line it looks like the red and green laser assemblies are very similar if not identical in external dimensions. Can I replace the red laser with a green laser? Does S&W even sell the green laser assembly separately? Just to be clear I'm talking about the internal laser assembly and not replacing the whole frame. TIA

I would check with Crimson Trace. They are pretty responsive.

I am interested in this also. Please keep me posted. When I ask Smith and Wesson, they said call Crimson Trace but I never got around to it.

I have wondered about this myself. I have seen some deals on the 2.0 model with the integral red laser and I've been tempted to buy, but I would rather have the green laser.

IMHO---YOU ARE BARKING UP THE WRONG TREE. THE QUESTION REGARDING THE EXISTENCE AND AVAILABILITY OF AN INTERNAL GREEN LASER ASSEMBLY FOR YOUR PISTOL, SHOULD BE DIRECTED TO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT CRIMSON TRACE......

I have both red and green lasers not that much difference to me batteries
last longer with the red and the price difference? I don't think CT will sell you just the laser assembly

No question. We have both, and will never buy another red one. Huge difference in sunlight.

Just FYI - I contacted Crimson Trace and they said the red and green laser modules for the Shield 2.0 with the factory integrated laser are interchangeable. You can buy a green laser module for about $80.

I have a number of different lazers and green is far superior.
