It looks worn. That raises questions about the rest of the pistol. If you like the model I'd ask for a replacement. If they won't go for that, tell me you'll take their check.

Agreed. Looks like it was carried and used before the distributor sent it to me purporting to be new. Potentially a fraud case . . .

Question--if somebody put wear marks on the pistol after it left the factory and before it got to you, how is that a problem with Glock's QC?

I'm thinking somebody in the supply chain either swapped the slide stop, or it rubbed on something in the box.

What does the other side look like? Could this gun been on a shelf somewhere prior to you purchasing it? I ask because my Glock 32 sat in a showcase for 49 weeks before I bought it. The slide release (left side) looked like your photo. The gun rested on that part.

"So who do I sue? " Over a slide stop? The rest of the pistol that is shown looks brand new. Maybe some one in the supply chain changed it out for some reason? Who knows? I doubt if it left the factory like that. Ask for a new slide stop.

If it didn't leave the factory like that, how did it get like that?

The Glock 45 is a brand new model. Are you really saying that a finish can just wear by sitting? If that's the case, NIB no wear no turn line revolvers from the 70's should not exist. But we know they do . . .
