In my favorite gun shop, pocket full of Christmas bonus checking out the shelves. They had a few things that were interesting, but nothing I couldn't live without. The fellow behind the counter was helpful, showing me a Model 60 and pointing out the "no lock on this one", a 3" Ruger LCR, a couple Colt Police Positive Specials in varying degrees of age and condition, but again, nothing I HAD to have. I walked over to the consignment rack, and had to pause. I asked to see it, for sure that I was wrong, or it was a refinish, or some other obvious flaw. There were none. It was as close to NIB as you get, (and I think unfired) Model 13-4 3 inch OHMYSWEETCHRISTMAS. After 20+ years of shopping for one that was priced reasonably and not beaten up, I got this.

looks amazing....congrats. You must have picked the beverage while the background check was running.

OK, I'LL ASK

How much $ is "reasonable"? NICE FIND! I'd probly bust the budget for that one. No offense to adjustable lovers but the fixed sights just look so much better. ;)

Id be having several beers if I found and purchased that model 13 in a LGS! Especially if it was in the $500-$600 range!

I'm curious also about the "reasonable" price. Great score!!! I had one years ago when it was the FBI issue gun and it was a great shooter.

Awesome find after all that time. You sound elated, which is what counts in this case. Enjoy it, and Merry Christmas!!

I saw one in that condition and for that price in Ringgold, GA some time back. It seems like you see twice as many 65s as you do 13s.

For the condition it's in and getting to look it over in person that is a solid price. I'd be happy with it, the three inch k frame is the bee's knees of revolvers.
"Reasonable" in this case was a bit under $750 OTD, which is not stealing, but it is not getting taken advantage of either, based on the condition. I am very pleased.

Congrats on your "discovery." Lol. I was looking for 5 months on gb until I found one. From a collector. I paid 1100$ for it. It was unfired

Nice find! I have a 3" Nickel M13-3, they are great shooting and carrying revolvers!

Does your local gun store accept the "Jelly of the month club" certificates? Very nice by the way.
