Some of us work in a field that requires us to take action. And some of us have been in situations where 5-ish rounds may not have been enough.

Besides, bullets are like tires. It's always good to have spares

Let's see some proof on this.The only documented case I saw was the cop who's 320 supposedly fell out of the holster while he was putting it in the trunk and went off.I really don't believe his story.

I currently have a P365 with a DOM of June 2018. It has about 1000 rounds through it, has no peening and has had no problems of any kind; no FTF, FTE or fail to lock on an empty magazine. All CURRENT reports I have seen indicate that the early problems have be rectified.

Now, I have owned both the Shield 9mm (and .45) and the Glock 43. I find no fault with any of these pistols. I would buy another Shield or G43 in a minute. Similarly, I wouldn't hesitate to buy a second P365, if I had the need and opportunity. The only advantages I have found in the P365 is the capacity and the overall size, although only very slightly.

If the P365 should ever fail me; breaks a striker, develops FTE or FTF, or has any other problem come to light, I'll be the first to report it to you all. Also, I have read the supposed news of a 10 round magazine Glock 43. If all else fails, I always have my G26.

Oh, BTW, I also have a P320. I'm quite impressed with this pistol, especially in the compact 3.9" format. I will also report any problems I have with it (only about 1000 rounds). And yes, I am keeping my Glock 19.

UPDATE:

I took the P365 and the P320 to the range today. I fired four hundred rounds, about half in 125+P GDHP and half 115 FMJ. No hitches, glitches, or problems of any kind from either gun. I was easily able to make consistent headshots on an IPSC cardboard target without a miss with both pistols. Failure drills at 10 yards was also impressive. I also fired about 100 rounds through my trusty, old G26. While it functioned great and was equally accurate and reliable, I found the Sig trigger pull on both pistols to be superior and pull weight and reset.

Blah blah blah. I love how people find ways to hate on certain products. First of all the Glock 43x does NOT compare well with the 365 because the grip is a mile long compared to the 365. Its just a 43 with a longer grip in order to match the capacity of the 365.

My 365 was built in June which is a "gen 3" or "3rd wave" of production. The striker breakage problem was fixed along with barrel peening. I have had no issues at all and I carry mine every day. And yanno what? If I ever do have an issue I will send it to Sig and they fix the damn thing, just like many other companies.

Some of you fail to remember that the OG Shield, XDS, Glock 42/43, Sig 938, and 238's all had significant teething/recall issues upon their initial releases.

We're talking Sig here, not Taurus. Have some respect and stop acting like Smith or Glock do Micro 9 carry any better upon initial release.

Getting ready for the (probable) Gun Control Act of 2020, which could very likely limit handguns to 10 round magazines (as was the case 1995-2004), it makes sense for companies to have a larger number of variants in the single-stack category.

Glock is reportedly bringing out a slightly larger 43 at the SHOT Show, called the 43x, to hold 10 rounds... BREAKING: The Next New GLOCK...A10-Round 43X - The Truth About Guns

In other words, its no longer a race to make the smallest pistol, but to make single-stack pistols for 10 round capacity, for different sized hands, and perhaps to provide increased reliability, accuracy, and comfort. The P365 has shook up the market, although its arrival has been accompanied by a lot of anecdotal reporting about reliability problems.

S&W would benefit in the prospective marketplace from having a slightly larger Shield with a 10 round magazine... In addition to a striker fired pistol, a variant in that size category with a hammer would be welcome: a sort of modern Mdl 3914, still a much loved gun although few folks under 50 have seen one. It would gain appeal if it had a slide that is easier to rack... The popular Shield .380 EZ shows S&W is alert to market changes, and we may see something new coming along to squeeze in between the Shield 9/40/45 and the M&P compact... maybe a sort of Shield 9 EZ...

I was in a LGS this morning and had the opportunity to hold / check out the Sig 365. It seemed nice enough for what it was built for. But without shooting it I can't really comment on one vs a SW that doesn't exist yet. The Glock is a personal choice. i seemed to have stirred up a hornets nest. I have nothing against Glocks. They have been very good LEO pistols for a long time. I just don't like the way they feel in my hand. I have bought and sold several trying to like them. I just don't.

The 365 beats the snot out of the G26 hands down from weight, thickness, accuracy, trigger and ergonomics

Regardless of what happens at the federal level there are quite a few states with 10 round limits. If California did not have laws that effectively prevent newly designed handguns from being sold there we would probably already have some larger single stacks.

It’s a fisher Space pen, TAD edition (Trekker) and that’s no Leatherman.... that’s a Spirit X BO right there[emoji6]. Best multitool out there IMO.

A $5.00 soldering iron from Harbor Freight and some patiences is all it takes for a stippling job. I did practice on a older polymer gun and some AR mags first but it’s fairly easy. Use the fine tip and mark out your area w painters tape to keep the lines clean. If you get any hotspots just use 2000 grit sandpaper to knock them down.
And the fill job was from my wife’s fingernail polish. Did that years ago and still looks like new. Just wipe the area down and remove any oil and dirt. Overfill a bit let it sit a few mins use acetone to remove excess on frame. Then your GTG.

How about a CZ PCR? Yeah- I know it’s heavier than a poly framed pistol, but CZs are reliable, ergonomic and accurate pistols.

I debated for weeks between a CZ 2075 RAMI and the Sig P365. All things being equal, I prefer an all metal gun and a hammer.

In the end, I determined all things between these two were not equal, as the RAMI weighs 25.9 oz, is 6.5” long, 4.7” tall, and 1.25” thick, with 3 dot sights. The P365 weighs in at 17.8 oz, is 5.8” long, 4.3” tall, 1” thick, with night sights. Cost was not a factor for me, as I can get RAMI for $518 through an LE/Mil program.

I prefer to carry IWB, so the weight and size (esp width) led to my P365 purchase. Fired it for first time yesterday, 175 rounds FMJ and Hornady FTX (last 25). Couldn’t be happier with my purchase as gun functioned flawlessly. I’m still intrigued by the RAMI, and it may be in my future, but not for IWB carry. FWIW, also have a PC Shield .45 and a SW1911 3” Pro Series that I carry IWB...but probably not much anymore since the P365 is smaller and lighter.

I too, carried the Shield 45, IWB. It's a dependable gun, feels right for the hand, and is accurate. These days, and getting older, I wanted something smaller, and lighter. The 365 is perfect for IWB. I think it's a bit too much for pocket carry. I take the Sig 238 (.380) if the 365 won't work out. But the 365, is my preference most of the time. I was always impressed with the accuracy of the Shield 45, and this 365, gets the same good shots. It has functioned perfectly.

Why follow the crowd? They will lead you astray. Wise people won't trust their family's and their life for a couple extra rounds of capacity. If you need 12 rounds to stop threats you're not practicing enough.
