Most here know 'bout my degenerative peripheral motor nerve condition called Multi-Focal Motor Neuropathy and what I've been doing to counteract the effects.
The thing is, my condition's sensitive to temperature. That is, the warmer it is, the easier it is for my remaining motor nerves to fire.
Usually, when it's cold out and I'm parking at a store, I can get from the car to the inside of the store before there's any real effect on my motor nerves.
Today however, with temps in the teens and wind chills at or below zero, I was slowing way down before I even got to the door, then had to warm up a bit once I got in out of the cold so I can move a bit better.
Today was one of the few times I used my handicapped placard. Glad I bothered to renew it.
