I'm Thinkin' of Changing My Signature Line

When I joined this forum in 2012, I was still working on getting my ability to walk back.
About 6 or 7 years ago I was diagnosed with a degenerative peripheral motor nerve condition called Multi-Focal Motor Neuropathy. My neorologist wanted to prescribe me an electric wheelchair and narcotics.
I declined. Took me most of a year to relearn how to walk using the muscles that still worked.

"Keep on Chooglin" is a song by Creedence Clearwater Revival. One of my favorite groups.

To me it meant to keep on trying, keep going.
Because of all the memories of listening to CCR when I was a disk jockey, I found my "Willie and the Poor Boys" CD in the car and cranked up "It Came Out of the Sky."

Well now after reading all the responses in this thread I find it hard to know which way to flop here. Actually I have seen excellent reasons for both changing and keeping the old one.

But as others have said, it really doesn't matter. What ever floats your boat is cool. You know the old saying... "A rose by any other name is still a rose." ;)

BTW, you're my hero too!

I wouldn't.

There will always be something comes along that'll inspire or motivate you to keep on chooglin'.

Besides...if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I like your regular CCR tag line, but did you ever consider this?

That's it, I've always been known for overdoing stuff and I've got the scars and tattoos to show for it.
Just relearning to walk wasn't enough, I wanted to get back to hiking and biking. I wonder sometimes what would happen if I tried strapping RollerBlades on again.

You'd probably fall down a couple of times at first. Okay, maybe more than a couple. But I predict you'd soon be back to more or less your old self and form. Especially since you've gotten yourself back in shape again.

I won't get into that whole what-have-you-got-to-lose thing. I'm thinking now that you mentally see yourself in that rollerblading scenario, and unless there's something that seriously would stop you, it won't be long before you just have to give it a whirl.

We're always wondering..."Do I still have it?" Aren't we?

I have three pairs.

The one's on the left are for messing 'round in parking lots with smaller harder wheels . The middle pair's for rink skating with softer compound wheels and the 5 wheelers and for cruising rail trails with big medium compound wheels. Unfortunately, while the bearings, wheels and spacers are still in good shape, the boots are dry rotted and cracking. I'd havta buy a new pair just to find out if I can make my gimpy legs work with skates.

Some goofy Injun wearing five wheel RollerBlades and skating backwards on the W&OD trail.

Ain't he cool?

Dang, I usta be skinny.

Just chooglin' along....

Better knit yourself some leather shorts or you'll be picking gravel out the wazoo...

snubby, I'm 65 never had major health issues, I exercise with small weights. ride mountain bike and trot with my dogs. Your trying to make me look bad and all I can say is AWSOME! Keep it up. If you see me on a bike trail somewhere don't run me over, ok?.

You got it!
That's the thing, every doctor I see tells me that I'm very healthy.
The only thing is this darn motor nerve condition.
But since I'm so healthy, I can push myself and do something 'bout it.
I know I'll never be back to where I was before but I can keep tryin'.
