A CS9

Yea, the P9HS1G1 appears to have been hanging in my cabinet for a while. I'll use it for range fodder once I find something new.

I'll look for a box or two of one of the newer numbers.

Thanks.

Gary

Just a heads up, the P9HS1G1 Hydro-Shoks are an older technology than the newer HST's, which are much more reliable hollow points. Lucky Gunner's ammo tests out of a 3.5" barrel showed the Hydro-Shoks only partially expanding, and they probably would perform worse out of a 3" barrel.

The HST line would be P9HST1 (124g), P9HST2 (147g), P9HST3 (124g+P), and P9HST4 (147g+P - discontinued). All of these have tested well out of 3" barrels, though I prefer the 124g +P myself.

I am very pleased. After running a box of ammunition through it earlier this week, I loaded it up with 124gr Hydro Shock JHP.

I carried it today in my pocket inside a De Santis Nemesis. It sits very comfortably. In fact, it's more comfortable than the Bersa Thunder 380cc in a Mika pocket holster.

Anyway, it's going to be my go to pocket pistol from now on.

"We don't need no stinkin' plastic mini 9mm." ;)

I hope that you are pleased with your CS9 as much as I have been with mine.

Oh, listen to the two of you! :p How soon GaryS forgets about his new "Grip Zone" plastic wonder gun! :) The one that tells him where and how to hold it so he doesn't hurt himself! :D

All-metal is superior for sure, but cheap, disposable plastic has its place too... like the mini-mouse gun in my pocket right now so that my pants don't fall down and so that my beloved, irreplaceable 3rd Gens stay safe and sound resting in their safes at home. :)

++++++++++

ETA: While on the topic of all-metal vs. plastic, I had to do my annual valuation of the collection for my firearms insurance policy last week and there were no surprises: The value of all-metal was generally up and the value of plastic was down... a lot. Yes, I know that nobody buys plastic as an investment, but this annual exercise still speaks volumes. My 6 worst firearms "investments" ever: All plastic wonder guns with my "used & abused" SD40VE leading the pack. :p My worst all-metal investment: My first Model 908S pistol that I crazy overpaid for. :o My best handgun investment ever: My ANIB Model 39-2 which I miraculously bought dirt cheap. :D My best long gun investment ever: Both of my old AK variants because... drum roll please... Massachusetts! :p
