Wouldn't that just be the M&P 9?
Not unless the M&P 9's or Compact 9's got optic cuts recently.
I like this idea, but I'd rather see them put the CORE system on these, and also on a double stack 4" gun.
Wouldn't that just be the M&P 9?
Where is a Shield-sized S&W pistol with a hammer?
What advantage is there to a hammer?
Double strike capability, as well as stiffer double action trigger pull for first shot (for those who want it).
What are they thinking over at S&W? Where are the CORE and PC M2.0 double stacks? I've been waiting for those.
Unconfirmed info that I read somewhere. 2.0 CORE will be delayed slightly due to some slight dimensional changes to the red dot cut to accommodate more models. Announcement around NRA Show.
If the cut is longer (can’t be wider or shorter) and will require a mounting plate, the characteristic of the Shield company’s three products to co-witness with standard height iron sights may be lost.
Added to the mistake of supplied multi-colored fiber optic sights, this PC effort might be rather misguided.
What are they thinking over at S&W? Where are the CORE and PC M2.0 double stacks? I've been waiting for those. Where are the 3.1" PC Shields without thumb safeties? Why do the 4" PC Shields not have thumb safeties when the others do? Why do these still have a 7-round grip? Why not 8- or 10-round length?
I've been intending to get a 4" compact, but now I don't know which I should get. Or should I just get both?
Did everybody but me realize the Shield 9 version 1.0 is still a production model?:

What is S&W's thinking on offering the 1.0 and 2.0 at the same time?

I have the Shield 9 and love it with no plans to replace it, use is CCW. I am considering adding a 2.0 Compact (12 round mag) for home defense.
Comments? Suggestions?
If you mean me Univibe, asking about the 10MM, my LEO son has a Shield 10 for a backup gun (dept uses 10 MM Glocks).
I did not enjoy shooting the Shield 10 MM.
That's what I thought as well, all the unsold inventory was just being sold. Let me back up a little. That little thing called in stock inventory still need to sell what was on hand and built before the new unit was released.

Sorry about my mistake, YOU are right. It's NOT 10 mm, it was .40. My bad.Interesting as far as I know SW doesnot produce a 10mm shield.
