I changed out the wolf springs. Went back to stock hammer spring, but swapped the trigger spring to 13 pound. Put it all back together and cleaned up.
Found these?

Yep, I figured out where the grip pins came from on my 625 one day after having it apart, and them being "left over parts". Then the trigger stop pin surprised me on my 28 ND the first time I gave it a good cleaning. Had to use an online schematic to figure out where that one came from.

I've become a lot more careful on dissasembling them since that one. It took me some time to find that little bugger on a drawing with so many tiny parts shown. Not all of my revolvers have both/either of them. Glad you figured them out so quicky.

Trigger overtravel stops. They fit inside the trigger return spring. Old school.
Too fat btw. My first thought as well.
Funny? My 629 has one but the 586 and 686 don't? What gives?

Btw.
Things I learned. Swapping the hammer spring caused light strikes.
Factory hammer spring and 13 pound trigger spring is very nice. I can deal with the heavy DA trigger and good primer strikes, vs light DA and having issues.

I've never encountered the Rebound Slide style trigger stop in anything but N Frames. That may have something to do with it; but as always, never say never with Smith & Wessons! :)
