Grump is a subjective term. My wife, a soft spoken Texas gal says I'm grumpy. Me, being a generally loud mouth, opinionated Italian from NJ see it as me being me. Joe
Driving in to Atlanta, it maybe road rage instead of grumpiness. I dislike driving up 75 toward Atlanta every time I have to and try to find a way around if possible.
I decided that rather than look at it all and scowl, I would look at it all and laugh. After all who is really going to care in a short 100,000 years. We are just a quick blink of time. Enjoy it
It's Atlanta. We just made the 750 mile trip from Miami to the mountains and the only topic involving worry is Atlanta. What time should we plan to be driving there, should we go around on 285 or take the express and HOV lanes through, why don't you go I-95 and up through Columbia ? It's definitely Atlanta.

In 2002 my daughter graduated and accepted an a job with an accounting firm in Atlanta. "Dad, when are you coming for a weekend visit?" After that weekend I told her that was my last Atlanta visit.
One can be 16 years old, drive in Atlanta, and have every right to be grumpy.
I'm not sure if age has anything to do with it.
I was born on my Mom's birthday and she was Grumpy as far back as I can remember.
So I've been grumpy most of my life when people around me are idiot's.
Even my kid's call me Grumpy Bob instead of Grampy Bob when talking to my grandkid's.
When I was in my thirties, a colleague dubbed me a "young fogey." I made the mistake of telling my then-wife what he said. I'm 58 now and she still teases me about it. Our middle child is fourteen and just like me. She calls him that, too.
First, regarding Atlanta and "grumpiness": The most common mistake people unfamiliar with statistical analysis is to mistake correlation for causation. Because two things occur together does not necessarily mean one causes the other. On the other hand, I HAVE been in Atlanta...……….
I think that would vary with the individual. My late FIL was in his mid 40s when I met him and he was already and had been grumpy for years. Then again, I'm 75 and still the warm hearted, open minded, easy goin', loveable guy I've always been.
