I’ve seen it a few times. It’s a good movie definitely worth watching. The characters do actually have some depth to them and are developed throughout the movie. Be prepared for plenty of gore. Not complaining about that in the slightest.

I love tanks so I had to the see the movie and I liked it and would definitely recommend it. My biggest complaint was a lot of times I couldn't understand what the actors were saying because of the shooting and engine noise from the tank but that's probably what it's like in a real battle.

Really liked the movie also, but at this time in my life I HAVE to have the subtitles on,,, I can’t imagine anyone even with good hearing can understand every word that is said in most movies today.

Dittos to the above. But there are a couple "dumb" mistakes IMHO. See if you can spot them. Don't want to be spoiler.

"Best job I ever had", will become part of your vocabulary.

Is it the best tank movie ever? I don't think so!

Is it a tank movie that most people can stomach? Yes

It is about as realistic as most modern Americans can stand!

I had a guy I worked with for 20 years that was in 2nd Armor in WWII, He told me all the pitfalls of a Sherman Tank, they are all in the movie!

Ivan

(my oldest was in 1st Armor in Iraq, but that isn't a movie yet!)

I saw it not long after it came out. I didn't think it was very good and certainly wouldn't recommend it. Poor taste regarding films is more common today than it used to be.

I think part of the setting was post-Malmedy brutality all around as the war ground to an end. You noted the Germans didn't look so good. The German summarily executed was wearing a US GI trenchcoat and could be shot under Geneva conventions.

What rape??

Look up the deleted scenes on youtube. If they had left the those scenes in, those changes would've changed the entire feel of the movie and explained a lot of things.
