Curious how you got a handgun permit, I was under the impression that only residents of the Isle of Man or North Ireland got handgun permits since their devolved parliaments don't have to follow the full scale and force of London's bickering.

Greetings from New Mexico.

My Mother was English, from Brentwood, Essex. As a kid, I lived in Brentwood while my Dad was in Korea for one year 59-60, and then for four additional years while my Dad was stationed there with the US Army, 64-68. Sculthorpe RAF base, Norfolk for 18 months, and the rest of the time in the Edgeware area of London. The 1st 18 months he was assigned to the P1127 tri-partite project (became the AV-8 Harrier), but when the US Army pulled out he wrangled an assignment with USAGUK HQ on Oxford Street near the US Embassy.

Fun times, I actually knew my English grandparents better than my US ones. A couple of years ago I took my wife and son back for two weeks. A great walk down memory lane.
