Surefire LE, I have several. The local store sets one each of every new model Surefire aside for me. A kind word for Surefire; I wore the tail switch rubber cover through on one. I sent a request via the web site for service. They responded the next day that my part was on the way. A few Covid days later a new tail cap assemble arrived. Support is worth paying higher prices for equipment. It is nice having adequate backups. I am never dressed without a Surefire in my pocket and sleep with one under my pillow. They are everywhere, sorta like ashtrays were in the old days. The younger folks can lookup ashtray on the internet.

Back in the early 2000s I noticed my Surefire 6P had spiderweb cracks in the lens. I contacted them and they sent me a new lens, O-ring, and replacement instructions, no charge.

That's something to do with heating and air conditioning. Everybody knows that We had a typed** sign at work that said, "No smoking near the ducts. Ashtrays will be provided." Obvious, no?

I honestly hope the mom was tired and just blowing the 108th question from the kid off.

Asked a guy at Wal-Mart what he suggested I buy, and he recommended this $14 LED model.

Liked it so much I clamped a scope ring on it and attached it to my little KSA Crickett.

Then I got another for the garage.

Takes 3 common AAA batteries.

...um no that's not my home defense gun.

I don't know what's more amazing. The fact that you asked a Walmart employee for advice or that the advice actually paid off.

Anyhow, congrats on $14 well spent.

My general utility .................
Maglite XL50...... 200 lumens, 25 hr on low (50lm) AAA, small enough to drop in a pocket, only 4 oz. ......... and cheap enough to have a few scattered around where they "might be" needed

I have a bunch of lights. The one I use most is a 2 x C cell LED Mag light that puts out 500 Lumens (IIRC). Not overly fond of the lights with the switch in the butt. Awkward unless you use two hands.

All my batteries are rechargable. I'm done with alkaline toy killers.
