Lucky Gunner not shipping to OK and 4-5 other states?

They have every right to sell where they want to and if it is more of a hassle to sell in certain areas of the country they should decline selling there. Guaranteed during this ammo panic buying they won't even feel the loss of a few states and will sell out inventory with or without you.

I just called LUCKY GUNNER and the man on the phone verified that they are not shipping to OKLAHOMA , MISSISSIPPI and ARKANSAS. When ask why ,I got a series of BS reasons all of which I contested and he could not refute . I then asked to speak to supervisor , I was left on hold for 4 minutes . Same man came back on and said no supervisor available. I told him he better find one and get the real story out there because this issue was now on S&W FORUM and probably would soon be on COLT Forum and RUGER forum and then they will be boycotted by @ 20,000 of the most active shooters in America. I gave him my name and cell number so a supervisor could call me back. So we will see if they care !

Dept of Justice intervention?

Maybe so. OK AG's office referred me to the FBI, where no information was available.

I just wish Lucky Gunner would have posted on their website something like "Due to circumstances beyond out control, we are currently not shipping to OK, AR or MS."

I would bet this is tax dispute. AR in past year or two just started ratcheting down on collecting local and state sales taxes on on-line sales. I bet DFA is after them regarding online sales because we are one of the biggest, pro-gun states in the nation and Lucky Gunner has millions in online sales here before ammo dried up.

Remote Sellers | Department of Finance and Administration

Every state except Missouri and Florida has enacted similar similar laws.

I have people wanting to buy my stuff at 2 or 3 times it's usual value and I'm not going to ship it. No soup for you! I want these decision makers running my business.

And just as an afterthought, if anyone from Lucky Gunner is reading this, it is not against the law to ship ammo to Massachusetts. Not that I would buy it from you anyways.

NO ONE HAS RETURNED CALL to LUCKY GUNNER

It has been 20 hours and no one has returned my call about OK, MS, ARK ammo sales ban.
So they will not get any of my business. I have many customers and family in those states.

Actually it will be 19,999 shooters joining your boycott. I appreciate you wanting to include me in the boycott but I am not interested in boycotts with so many other issues in our country.

I am curious about why a Texan is raising a stink about what is happening in Oklahoma.

As already commented I also suspect this is over a tax issue on their sales to those States. Every State sets their own rules. Kansas is another one that is taxing Internet sales and everything else they can.

Perhaps the concern is there because a national retailer suddenly decides to stop shipping to three states--without any notice posted. Are there more states to be added to the list, or any other internet retailer joining in? Perhaps TX might be next. Or your state.

I CALLED LUCKY GUNNER again

I have called Lucky Gunner again. They said the ban was not about tax issue or paperwork and not about Covid or weather.
When I asked him to verify what states were banned , he refused to answer. They said it was just due to their own shipping dept.

And to those who wonder why someone in Texas cares ,I have stated that I have friends and family in OKLAHOMA , MISSISSIPPI and ARKANSAS. I hunt in all those states and my son goes to college in one of those states.

19,998. I don't boycott anyone who will ship to me. Now, I looked at their price for .357 Magnum. All they had was soft point at $75 per 50. I ain't paying that, but not because they won't ship to other states . . .

I just checked with Lucky Gunner. They have .380ACP available - 20 rounds for $45 ($2.25/round) + tax + shipping = No way in heck they will get my business now...

Even GunBroker has .380ACP 500 rounds for $500 ($1.00/round - Buy It Now).

After checking about twice a day for months, I found some .357 MAG finally in stock at the Lucky Gunner website. About double the price, but that is the way of things now. As an existing customer, I ordered 3 boxes, only to find that that when I tried to check out on-line, I had a pop-up screen that read "unfortunately we cannot deliver to your location." What?? I called, and customer service said it was decided to not ship to about 5 states. I wrote back asking what the problem was, and they replied "due to everything going on right now in the country we had to suspend shipping to certain areas of the country." I followed up and asked for specifics regarding what was going on in OK that didn't allow them to ship? They said they would pass my comment along to management. Not a happy customer.

I've been saying on here for MONTHS that this ammo shortage is nothing more than a giant lie being perpetrated on gun owners in this country.

Ammo manufactures and their middleman sellers all entered in to an agreement....most likely spurred on by the ATF in anticipation of the pre-determined outcome of the 2020 election....to keep ammo out of the hands of as many people as possible for as long as possible until the ATF gives them the A-OK to start releasing product again. And I'm pretty sure the agreement came with perks like tax breaks or stimulus money or agreements that the new administration wouldn't go after them as was claimed for all of 2019 and 2020.

It is a conspiracy plain and simple. Ain't no theory about it. There's absolutely no excuse to NOT sell your product in Oklahoma and 4 other states unless you were in an agreement with others also not to.

OK was one of the states that the media went after hard in 2019 as a "hot bed" of their imaginary far-right extremism and all that other dog-whistle nonsense. I'm pretty sure the other 4 states are Arizona, Texas, Florida and Nevada.

We haven't had more than a box of ammo a week hit any of our stores/shops/suppliers in this state since February 2020. People line up for hours waiting for a store to open, they rush in to the ammo counter and there's literally 2 boxes of 9mm or 1 box of .38spl they all fight over.

It's all been co-ordinated and at this point...over a year in to this "shortage"...anyone who says differently is either a potato head who refuses to accept reality or in on it. How much more proof do people need?

I have ordered from them before, but it has been years now. There is absolutely ZERO reason for a fifty round box of 357 Magnum 158gr JSP to be selling for $70.00, other than people are willing to pay that.

The sooner people quit doing that, the sooner prices will get back to normal. If you're paying those prices, you're the problem.

Don't feed the beast!

That is the beauty of the situation. Barring legal prohibition a private company can choose to sell their product where they want and I, as a consumer, can decide who I want to purchase from and how much I am willing to pay.

I'm sorry, but your response is SOOOooo over the top, that I just have to chuckle. This left-handed shooter will start to panic when I am down to <30lb of powder & primers. Soooo...
That being said, PLEASE be careful. The alternative is WAY TOO messy for anyone to want to/have-to deal with, especially if they our YOUR family/relatives.

So if it's all just my imagination...where is all the ammo going?

The two largest ammo manufacturers in the United States both claim their plants are running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for a year yet they can't keep up with sales.

Who are they selling to?

I can tell you in AZ that it's not to any LGS. Not to any big chain sporting goods stores and it's not to the 2 major online sellers located in this state. Every single ammo outlet has been bone dry of any ammo from the "Jason's" since February 2020.

And what scraps you can find are from never-heard-of-before brands from Europe or some Eastern Block country.

Nothing from either of the "Jason's". No Speer, No Winchester, No CCI, No NOTHING. Not a single brand either of the Jason's make has made it to Arizona in over a year.

Arizona Firearms, the oldest and second largest gun and ammo store in AZ, hasn't had a single box of 38spl or 357 Mag since March of 2020. He can't get a single order filled. The shop had to start cruising Armslist looking for private sellers who were selling their personal stash and buying it there to bring in to his store.

I went to Healy's, another well established Gun store in AZ, and he had a single dusty crushed box of Remington Thunderbolt 22lr on his shelf that he found in his warehouse.

Shops are now turning to local hand loaders to get bullets on the shelves. They are THAT desperate.

So I don't want to hear how I'm crazy or this is all just a phase that will pass or any of the other BS people have been spewing on here trying to make people like me out to be crazy. There's absolutely no way this "shortage" is natural. And it's definitely not because of new gun owners draining the market. We haven't had ammo since February 2020. How are new gun owners draining the ammo market when there's been no ammo for them to buy?

It's like saying 7 million people recently moved to the Sahara Desert and built homes there so that's why there's a water shortage in the Sahara.

A newly fired Walmart exec exposed his old company when he admitted that Walmart purposely took guns and ammo out of their stores at the end of 2019 in order to keep these products out of people's hands for 2020 then in 2021 when they said they would start bringing it back to stores...it's only been to certain states.
States NOT getting ammo or guns back for now are..... AZ, NV, MI, WI, PA, GA & NC.
I DARE someone here to tell me that's just a coincidence.

Mark this thread. I guarantee it will eventually come out that this was all a co-ordinated effort between the ammo makers and the gov't. This "shortage" is not organic. It's not due to market demand. It was staged and eventually people are going to confirm what the facts already say is happening.
