I hope this is good time to mention the Second Amendment Foundation. These are the wonderful folks who brought us Heller vs DC, McDonald vs Chicago and the still pending appeal of the magazine ban in California.

Yearly dues are $15, life membership #150 and if it matters to you, it's all tax deductible.

It appears we're going to need them and to make sure they have a substantial war chest for legal fees.

Yes, sir; you are right, Mr. Moore.

I'm an appellate lawyer. The Second Amendment Foundation is at the TOP of my list for where to donate. THEY GET THINGS DONE and have for years. You see litigation on our behalf, and these guys are behind it. Oh, and their new president is a friend of mine (and a name most of you will know), and I trust him to oversee the place.

I thought it was the bankrupt bunch in these landmark cases for some reason. Thanks for bringing this up i'll look into this.Sounds like they have earned and deserve support

Stimulus money well spent

Thanks for the heads up W.R. My wife and I were just talking about what we can do during these times to let our voices be heard and the best solution we could come up with is to donate to the organizations who fight for us. The SAF seems to be one of those places so I became a life member. This is something most of us can do along with donations to the NRA. We can't vote for another year and a half so don't just sit there,,, do something.

I joined and also donated. I wish that I had known of them earlier, I guess that I didn't pay enough attention.
I will be talking to my daughter, grandson and great grandson about them also joining.
Thanks to the original poster.

I called to make sure they have people to process a check and they do.I don't like doing business online. Massod Ayoob should be a good leader of this organization.Check is in the mail.

^^^ Not completely accurate. Robert Levy and the Cato Institute were the movers behind Heller. The SAF filed an amicus brief.

But SAF is still a very worthwhile organization

I suggest setting up a monthly donation to the SAF; they are busy now and will be a lot busier in the weeks and months to come. As far as an amount, perhaps how much one would pay for a box or two of ammo, if it could be found. :)

Can any of you comment on the different missions of the CCRKBA and SAF? Both are Gottlieb organizations. Their mission statements give some info but the differences are not very clear.
