Ahhhh.. you know exactly how it works... It didn't take long for her to train us.
About a month ago it was 4° F, and this little guy showed up. I’ve been feeding him ever since. Made him a warm secure place to sleep until I can get him checked out to let in with my Lucky and Bella. Seems his name is “Bubby”.

x2. As my gf would say, "There will be many bis-cu-its for you in Heaven."Bless you, Les............
I sent a card to her several weeks ago. It didn't come back to me but I haven't heard anything yet. I will try again soon just in case it went astray. I really hope she's ok! [emoji120][emoji120][emoji178][emoji178][emoji250][emoji250]Still no information about Susieqz?
This is getting serious. We may need to find someone in the area (?!?!) to drive through Tucumcari with a big banner on their vehicle with the S&W emblem on it that reads, "SUSIEQZ, WHERE ARE YOU?"I sent a card to her several weeks ago. Me too. I live in the northeast so I'm real far. Her town is near the Texas border... Maybe someone closer to that border could check on her. I know that even her vet was pretty far away. Her town is a small town I think. She seemed to enjoy this group and answered fairly quickly, so I don't think she got tired of responding. I had a friend on another forum here who was booted off for a minor"offense" that he was unaware of until he was"banished". Maybe that's what happened, but, then I would think she would have responded to my friendly card that I sent. I included my phone#and my email, so that if she was"banished" she would have had alternative ways of contacting me. Any ideas, anyone? This is getting serious. According to the "six degrees of separation" theory, someone must know someone who knows someone (else) in Tucumcari. It's small enough that she must be known to a few people there, even though she apparently lives well out of town.
(I'm worried about her cats, too)
Engineer 1911, would you feel comfortable sending Susieqz a card to see if she's ok and maybe she'd answer you? I'm really concerned[emoji22][emoji45]Still no information about Susieqz?
She was kind of averse to going to the vet at all even though there were times that I advised her to in order to get shots for her kitties. She did get the shots eventually but said the vet was quite far away and she tried to combine the visit with shopping that was also very far away. She wasn't a worrier about the kitties health generally and she would find natural remedies for anything that came up. I wouldn't think that under these circumstances that the vet would have known her very well. Tucumcari is a small town(under 5000 people) and I don't think the vet there would have been described as very far away like she told me. I wouldn't know what direction from her town that she'd head to for a vet in another town. I don't know the geography at all there. I'm going to see if I can go back and read old posts of hers too see if there are any hints as to what towns she might have gone to for veterinary care. I'll let you guys know if I come up with anything"Desperate times call for desperate measures" How many veterinarians can there be in Tucumcari? (Surely she doesn't have to drive to Albequerque or Amarillo?) One of them must know her, and it seems a few folks here know her last name.... "Hi doc. Asking for a friend..."
That's a good idea. Are any of our friends on this thread a LEO, or has a friend who's an LEO in New Mexico who could help us find out if Susieqz is ok? I have her actual name and you could pm me to get it(or email me at [email protected]) which would be better because my pm is full and I'm having problems deleting some messages to make roomHow about one of the LEOs here contact her sheriff department and ask. We are worried
Yes, I vaguely remember that. And since I'm not at all familiar with the area either, I had to look it up on a map and concluded that Albequerque or Amarillo would be the closest major centres. She was kind of averse to going to the vet at all even though there were times that I advised her to in order to get shots for her kitties. ...
I don't think it was something we said(lol). I'd be grateful if that was all it turned out to be, and that she's ok. I did get in touch with one member who's a retired LEO and they will see what they can do. I'm still hoping for the best[emoji120][emoji120] Thanks for caring!Yes, I vaguely remember that. She started this thread on July 24, 2017, nearly 4 years ago, so you'll have a lot of searching to do for clues.
Steelslaver's idea of using the LEO network will be the way to go as there will hopefully be some official resources even for a casual enquiry about a potential "missing person" (One of ours!)
Surely there is more to this than "Is it something we said?"
