Your “COOLEST” gun?

Not necessarily my favorite, but this CZ 97BD with the Cajun Gun Works "E" conversion (with 1911 bushing) and LPA rear sight is pretty cool. Also this Browning BDM is pretty neat. It has a switch to convert from a traditional DA/SA semi-auto to a double action only "revolver" mode.

It is hard to decide what is the "coolest" gun in the safe but this one is near or at the top of the list. It is my well worn, 4 inch transition 1926 3rd Model 44 Handejector. Its rare, it is special (.44 Special) and it came from the Teddy Benion collection out of Las Vegas. What's cooler than that.

I carried a M1A1 Paratrooper Carbine in a violin case at one time. Got folks attention when carrying it to the range. Will see if I still have a picture of it.

Here is another cool one. It is just a shooter but it is cool shooter.

It came into where I work and was sold to us by a retired Idaho Fish and Game officer from Salmon, Idaho.

It is a four screw pre Model 29. It went back to the mother ship in 1963 for some work. The barrel was shortened from 6 1/2 to 5 inches, the ejector rod was updated with a left handed threaded rod and it was reblued. It has a narrower smooth combat trigger not a polished off target trigger.

All of the changes make it about the perfect 29 and make it just a shooter I could afford.

At one point I owned only one Smith&Wesson handgun. That was my Dad's 38/44 Outdoorsman Pre Model 23. My Dad was a Highway Patrolman in Iowa from 1954-1974. We had a bullet trap in our basement. He and other patrolmen shot .38's down there, retrieved the lead later, molded new wadcutters, and reloaded for practice. This one has a red ramp front sight which seems unusual for a target gun. Shipped in 1959. Serial number says it was probably manufactured in 1956. My collection has swollen since this one came home with me. Enjoy.

Officer/Commander 10 rounds of 9mm. Pretty cool and shoots well. An another one, first year model 657 no dash I scoped out at my LGS a few years ago. I got it in case my troubles seem so far away.

I think this one qualifies in the "cool" category. Not often found these days, I do have a High Standard Model 10B bullpup 12 gauge shotgun with its original flashlight attachment. It usually gets a "whatthehellizit" reaction when it's viewed! Firing it one-handed from the crook of your arm is an experience, believe me!

Nice looking rifle. I had a PolyTech that we rebuilt with a new bolt and stock. Shot as good as any M-14 that I ever shot on active duty. Have you ever fired an M-14 fully auto? I have and there is no way I can get more than two shots in the target in fully auto from the off-hand position.

Yes, I have, once. Buddy of mine had a Smith Enterprises M14.

My the 3rd or 4th round I was about 30 degrees above the target.

The M1A I have is quite accurate. Semi auto only, of course.

That would match up nicely to my No.2 MK IV* British Trainer in .22 LR. Mine started life a a Lithgow .303 in 1941, was changed to a trainer in Sept. 1949.

I certainly can't top some of the magnificent specimens here.. those various Thompsons are unbelievable and definitely make me jealous...

My humble submission is a Colt Model M from 1928, in 380 acp, with a period correct unknown maker carved holster.
