very wonderful, it can do 10 rounds of a subpar round vs the P365XL which can do 12 in the much better 9mm....someone sleeping at the helm.

I don't think a lot of pistol will be made that have a +10 mag...........
if they want sales to work in the state of California.
Sort of a bummer but that is the way it goes in some states, with all the regs.

It was interresting that they started that round off with a high $$$ pistol and then
two that most people can come up with enough money to buy.

Does it require buying a new pistol?

Yes.

It might be possible to convert a 9mm to 30 with a replacement barrel, recoil springs and magazines the way some people convert 40s to 9mm or 45 to 10mm. Since 9mm has about the same recoil energy it might not even be necessary to replace the springs.

Most people are going to buy a new gun. In my experience buying a new gun is a better choice than trying to convert one if you can afford it.

What does it do that other cartridges can't do? Larry
It sells guns

I have been carrying a S&W J-frame for just about 40 years now.

Younger shooters always want the newest "FAD" gun that is out there

I know younglings that have switched their carry gun 3-5 times in the past 10 years just to have the newest thing on the market

Probably last as long as the 45 GAP, Federal 9mm rimmed and the 356 TSW, Win 45 auto magnum and Win 9mm auto magnum. I have ZERO interest in it.
That orphan will sink like a lead dish towel......If you want those same ballistics get a 32 H&R magnum.

Ok. But the 32 H&R is a revolver round. This 30 Carry thing seems designed for semiautos.
