A Taurus G3 will get you back into gun ownership for $200 if so desired, and prefer it over the G19 it was cloned from.

If'n it comes my way...
I'll be wearing the same one as today.
It has saw me back to the threshold of my own door for half a century.
Well, this one or one just like it.
For the better part of the last two decades, I kinda keep this'n handy.
Even living the quite country life, it's prudent to be prepared.
When trouble comes a knockin'...All bets are off. Marquess of Queensberry Rules notwithstanding.

By the way; like the SBR w/ 20 rd mag......................... if the SHTF (short of all out war) and you can't extract w/ 20 semi you are "SooL"

Sorry about your winter. Mine was pleasant also with pneumonia from Christmas through Jan.
Finally behind me now. Now to the important stuff. Who made your holster/belt? Real nice rig.

I suppose I'm a traditionalist, but I'll take one of my M1911A-1's or my Colt Gunsite Pistol. Over the years I've met several US military veterans, and one IRA veteran, who had occasion to use the 1911 for real and they all spoke well of it.

for a daily civilian encounter it would be a full size glock 17. if it was riot city and a person would be on the move to defend self & family it would be the 17 , 12 ga. pump , + ar 15 and possibly a 22 rifle.

Handguns are a badge of rank and easy to carry for those doing the thinking, and who's primary weapon is the radio, while others are doing the shooting.... but IMHO, for going outside the wire to fight a war.... they just keep you from having to go to a knife... and no one wins a knife fight!
Still remember the quote from the Sam Elliot in "We Were Soldiers" who only carried a Colt 1911 to his war................

no doubt, my .45 1911 Gold Cup...dont want em' runnin' back to tell the others where I am!

Try and make it to my buddies house with 1917, 1919 and now he has a live 57 mm AT gun.
