Random Object Photographs

This is a picture of one of the first McDonalds burger stands in the early 1950s. It was taken at the SW corner of Central Avenue and Indian School Road in Phoenix. I was in high school then and remember vividly buying hamburgers there for fifteen cents!

The first McDonalds I recall seeing was in Kokomo, IN.
I remember The Kokomo one as the basic style building but smaller than this one.

Yesterday’s auction win. 2009 with only 61,000 miles on it. Cream puff.

It was a while ago Way back up in East Nevada.
On a particular stretch of Power Line there were 40-50 Golden Eagles.
Just sitting there on 50 Yards of line.
Didn’t see anymore in a 100 Miles or more of that lonesome N-S road.
That was on Highway 93 North of Pioche.

Fried octopus tentacles, beer back! (First bite is missing 'cause I couldn't wait.)

That was the appetizer. Lunch was sushi. Was gonna get Italian, but that place was full so kept on truckin'. (Five miles, round trip, with an hour break for lunch. New knees, baby!)

I remember

I remember buying a "bucks worth" at a place just like this.

This Random Object is the Reedy River Falls area, where it passes through downtown Greenville, SC near where I live.
I had to laugh this morning when I saw it featured as the minute of nature which traditionally ends the CBS Sunday Morning show. Thought it comical because it is surrounded by urban development, but it was framed so tightly that you'd think you were in the wilderness.

Today I was down that way so I swung by The Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Preserve.
Not much going on. A few ducks, Canadians, and Coots.
Then I see this Guy.
Golden Pheasant I think.
And he wasn’t that close!
I have hunted Ringnecks in several states. When somebody told me where they came from I was shocked!
East Asia, like China and Korea
