...How ironic that one of Putin's chief complaints is the expansion of NATO...his actions over the past few months have made sure that alliance will be stronger and better-armed than ever.

Botox, interesting comment and entirely possible. I always suspected alcaholism as heavy drinkers tend to be heavy in the face IMO. But I've never seen other evidence that he drinks much. I had not thought of Botox…

In other words…don't bring my war home to Russia. Because he knows it would be the end of his reign if Ukrainian attacks, or worse yet, troops mount attacks into Russia.

Some of the current batch of 90 American Howitzers on the way to Ukraine from March Air Reserve Base, California. The required support vehicles are included, and two thirds of the artillery is in the region. At least 50 Ukrainians have completed training by the US, and more are in the process.

Yes, NATO is certainly getting stronger daily. Puti is getting backed further into a corner. Could he actually be stupid enough to pop off a nuke? That would not be good for him. I'm not sure how a weak leader would respond, but UK and France might just punch his ticket. Let's hope and pray it does not come to pass.

act without U.S. leadership when it
comes to using tactical or strategic nukes.

Upping the ante again, the British are sending some appropriately named munitions to the Ukrainian battleground. Hundreds of "Brimstone" missiles are being sent there, though which version is unclear.
Not man-portable, these 110LB supersonic missiles range from 7.5 to 25 miles, or 37 miles for air-launched, and carry a 14LB warhead, with either laser or fire&forget radar guidance. They excel at hitting moving targets.

No doubt they will be put to very good use there by the increasingly adept Ukrainian forces.
