I've never had a ________. Fill in the blank!

Have owned a bunch.
Still do.
But I never had a Luger.
So I go into this Pawn Shop in Indianapolis.
They say, do you want to see an unusual Luger?
You know I do!
It's a Cartridge Counter.
He's saving it for Mel Torme.
He's coming soon, he collects Lugers, and when he sees this,
the Benjamins will appear.

Oh yeah - a cartridge counter Luger - like this?

No way it's mine - belongs to a good friend who has a fabulous collection of rare Lugers. He let me photograph many of them.

But lusted after a 4" "Smolt"/ "Smithon"...Hybrid built from a.. Model 19 frame matted to a Colt Python barrel!.... even better with a L-frame back end!!!!

I'm glad you mentioned that. I too have always wanted a "Smython" ever since I saw pictures of them in the gun magazines back in the day. I don't think I've ever seen one in the real world.

Browning Hi Power.

I have always been intrigued by the design but I was never a big 9mm fan. When SA revived it recently, it came back on the radar, but I have yet to pull the trigger. Pardon the pun.

In my opinion, the BHP is most ergonomically perfect pistol ever made. I'll bet if you try one, you'll buy it... :)

Is Mel Torme still alive?

He's going to have a long wait. Mel Torme died June 5, 1999.

Without a doubt!

My friend Martin, who's not a hard-core gun enthusiast, held my BHP and said, "This fits my hand perfectly! You need to give it to me!" I said, "It fits everyone's hand perfectly! And, no."

I've never owned an AR-15. Most guys my age wouldn't be caught without one, I've fired them, the right one has never fallen in my lap
