Now I suppose I am going to have to find a gun to go with it. :D

Any suggestions?? "Central Fire!" only of course!

How about the gun on the box image, a .32 Single Action? Or a .32 Double Action or Safety Hammerless.

Clean well if those have corrosive primers, or are black powder. :)

"Solid Head" as opposed to "Balloon Head" - refers to the improved Case construction, not the bullet nose.

You might even consider an Iver Johnson (top 2) or Harrington & Richardson (bottom) in solid condition.
And there are some of those old 1 1/2 primers!

I believe the term “Solid Head” was in reference to the construction of the primer area of the case. The original “Solid Head” was what we refer to as the balloon head. The construction of the case prior to solid head was a weak folded head to hold the primer. The case was often stamped with the designation “SH” or “S” on one side of the primer and “H” on the other. Either way, we now consider this the balloon head construction.

If you are going to shoot up that antique ammo just to be shooting it, your financial state must be different from mine. I would suggest a 1940s vintage K32 for your conspicuous consumption. :D

Well, this is your lucky day! I'm about to save you a LOT of money. Just send this ammo to me, then you don't have to buy anything! Such a simple solution......................:D

I have an 1892 Safety Hammerless that would match up just perfectly with that ammo. ;)

Unfortunately, the value of those partial boxes are less than the cost of a new box of 32 S&W today, so shooting them is not a big deal. The US box is Lesmoke and the Winchester box is Black Powder. I like the picture boxes, but there are so many vintage 32 S&W boxes out there today that the value remains low except for a few rare variations. The fact that the are not full greatly devalues them even further. Nice display boxes whether they are full or empty. I have a few.

I like both the caliber and the top-breaks associated with them and shot several that I owned. Nothing special, but their size makes them interesting. I am partial to 32 Safeties and 32 Double Actions.
