Yes! Be sure to take this to all the local news outlets. It's sure to be the lead story/front page news. Justice must be served! Will have to see how this plays out and then consider taking it to one of the news outlets

I know some you scoff at the media idea, but it seems too often that it is the only way to get anything done. Corporate management has the "deny everything" attitude, as do most legislatures. It all goes hand in hand with "admit nothing" handed down by insurers.
Get an ambitious cub TV reporter on the case, turn them loose and embarrass the hell out of these idiots. We have a gal on Channel 13 here in Vegas who should go by the nickname "Wooden Spoon" for the way she stirs it up, but she gets results.
I got five bucks says she’s yet to change a state law . . .
You're most likely right. However, I think the bit about carrying out being in state law as told to the OP was pulled directly out of thin air. Want to intimidate someone? Say it's the law and hope they don't check.
I’m sure Rusty has been awaiting this, and I apologize to him for the late post, but I picture the OP in his/her bathrobe, in his/her front yard, banging his/her push lawnmower with a shovel . . .
Hey, did you finally get your $38 worth
of items at another store and did you
make a second trip to do so? Hope
you didn't have to expend 20 cents
in gasoline to do so.
We all want a happy ending to this story.

I've said it before, but I think the reusable bags are more convenient and we have dozens f them.
King Soopers has these heavy duty bags that they use for pickup service. That's what I use. Clearly more durable than what Safeway offers and for the same price.
I just picked up an order this afternoon. I saw a couple customers loading up their cars with enough groceries to feed a family of six and not one bag was used. Apparently I'm not the only person who you would call petty. Some of them even used cardboard boxes.
I've gotten wound up over less.I can't fathom making multiple phone calls and getting all twisted up over 20 cents
That's the problem in this Country. We turn a blind eye to everything we see as petty and then when things escalate we wonder why we're in the mess we're in.
Yeah,I'm petty but I'm tired of being jerked around. And just so you know I've gotten discounts and refunds for being this way.
