I saw CCI small and large pistol yesterday for the first time in 3? years at my local Fleet Farm. $8.09/100.

Although you can only get 200-300 at a time per customer, Sportsman's Warehouse has em for $.05 or $55/K. Even during Covid, I was getting em there for $23-$30 a brick.

Remington
CCI
Fiocchi

Current retail according to my friend with the gun /shooting supply wholesale business is 55.00 for most some priced a bit higher. He said Win is about the lowest now. Federal highest with CCI BRs higher. Best buys he has had have been Fiocchi in the 1500 boxes. You won't see 40 dollar primers...His words...not mine. He also told me there is softening of prices in the gun lines..esp fantastic plastic models. He thinks they make too many of essentially the same guns. In his words there are many companies "making" guns due to easy plastic molding. Hey...he's been in the business longer than me. He's dropping some of his cheaper lines expecting a shakeout. Guess we'll see. Shotshell reloading business is really hurting.
PS...I'm a buyer now at 55'65 dollars

I'm certainly not seeing any pistol primers at the prices I see listed here . I just paid slightly over $100 per 1000 CCI SPP including hazmat and delivery. I was glad to get them too ! My LGS hasn't had any in for months so buying on line is the only way to go for me .

There are multiple places with imported SPP just below and above $60/1K with free shipping when you buy 5K. That is the norm I am seeing on-line. I would gladly support a local shop at $60-$65 out the door all day every day.

And I'd pay up-front for 5K at a time for $50 otd locally. They just add my order to theirs.

In the past I have gotten emails from Midway while on the computer. Immediately I've gone to their site only to see they are no longer in stock. I think their automated email system lags a bit behind.

Remington large pistol primers are in stock at Midway. I don't need any but someone here might.

IMHO, If Rem primers were $20 I still wouldn't buy them.

Also, IMHO, $50 sale primers is where it will all level out. That's providing that the political climate doesn't go absolutely absurd.

Remember, you can have alternate powders if your favorite isn't available, but without primers, no bang. And they take up very little room.

CCI SPP

Grafs has CCI SPP available 5 bricks for $373 and if you buy 5 bricks they waive shipping and Hazardous Material charge.

Over the years I have used literally thousands of Remington primers with zero issues. What problems have you guys had with their primers? The only time i remember having a primer that just wouldn't go off it was a CCI. Something I see a lot on forums is guys saying they would never use something again or saying something is garbage but they never explain why.

It's a good question. I have used Remington primers, among lots of others, for many years with zero issues. I know plenty of experienced reloaders that prefer Remington caps.

Not to mention the fact that I have fired many rounds of Remington ammo over the years which I am guessing use Remington primers. If there is a real issue I would sure like to know what it is.
