Around the 15 second time marker, the would be thief makes a furtive movement for a weapon. There's a brief view of what appears to be a knife with a wide, black blade before he tucks it back in his clothing.

An industrial quality broom or mop handle is about 4 feet long, an inch in diameter, and made of good, quality hard wood.
In the right hands, it would be a formidable weapon.

Yessir. Culturally, "lying down" and doing nothing is an affront to their honor as a man. Too bad we don't have more real men with that kind of attitude in our own culture.
