Since my little 15yr old Chihuahua died 2 weeks ago it's been pretty quiet and empty here on the ranch. I have made a concerted effort to replace her (I know she would understand). As of yesterday I have a new Chihuahua named Charley I got from a rescue. I like the little dogs because I have a small house and yard and little dogs make little poop. The bandana was put on by one of the rescue girls. Not a manly man dog for sure, but he's pretty cool.

I used to think a dog had to be over 35lb to count as a dog. Anything less was a rodent. A couple of toy Aussies changed my mind.

Gracie, the black tri, is gone now, but I still have Petunia, a pup from one of Gracie’s several litters. Even though she is 13, people assume she is a puppy, and everybody loves puppies. I get to talk to all the good-looking gals.

They are great watchdogs, you need a few more to make a pack:D

Good luck with your new dog. From the pictures I would say he is still getting his bearings in his new home.

We don't have any pets since the last cockatiel passed. I love animals, and my wife says they all love me, but they are a big responsibility as pets. I get the hankering for a cat from time to time, but then I find myself packing for a trip away and find myself thinking, 'Oh yeah, this would be tricky or expensive if we had pets'.

Good for you.

My wife picked up this young one from the spca.
It was so shell shocked that she would not let me pet her for 6 months !!

She stays away from adults when they come over, but loves small children.

The best part is our other dog has a friend to play with and not be lonely.
